I think it's similar to Audi's Daytona Gray Pearl Effect which is what my S3 is. Pretty color that seems to change depending on the light.

Late to the party I know... however my 2c worth..

I used a G20 White loaner a few months back, M Sport with all the trimmings... and to be frank it was bland, and made it look like an entry level model... and weirdly it looked SMALL.... my personal opinion only however white does not suit the G20...

The F10 in Alpine White in contrast was perfect, G20 not so much...

I have seen Mineral Grey and it is very classy in person, and makes the car pop and look bigger than it is (getting your money's worth)

All subjective of course, that's just my experience.... but I still went for Sunset Orange instead of MG to trigger some lockdown happiness!

First time BMW owner here as well. How did I make it 50 plus years. I love gray cars - I had a '13 S4 in Monsoon Gray and an 07 911 Turbo in Atlas gray. Both were stunning cars. To me it came down to the Portimao blue or the Mineral gray. While at the dealership I saw a Mineral gray and it looked so sharp, so that's what I ordered.

Received my VIN yesterday and hopefully I'm only 4 weeks away from taking delivery. Can't wait.

Seeing this thread, I'm glad I ordered Mineral Grey. Looks great. I was torn on the shadowline, so I ordered without. Figured I could have the grill surround and mirrors wrapped in gloss black if I wanted after.
Either way it looks great.

Just in case anyone couldn't sleep in the past few weeks wondering what my final choice would be: it is Mineral White.
I was really torn between the 2 colors but I am very close to the end of my 20s and I thought that later on in my life, when I'll want a more "serious" color, I'll probably choose grey. Oxide grey was an option as well, but I couldn't justify the extra cash due to the abovementioned reasons.
Also, the I slightly prefer the rear view of the car in white color.
(it should be noted that i'll order the "sport line" version, not the M sport, which differs from most cars seen on this forum).
Anyways, thanks for all the input! My long "waiting period" will begin on Monday when I'll sign my contract.

Congrats, I ordered Alpine White - pondered mineral but when visit I enjoyed the pure white. Both colours really show off the lines of the 3er beautifully. Do share pictures when you have it!

Thank god! Now I can finally get some sleep.
Mineral White is a fine choice if I do say so myself.

Daytona Gray has more luster and shine in it. MG is darker with a purplish hue in it.
My previous S5 was DG and I really miss that color!

Yes, I agree. My last car was a Q7 in daytona grey and my wife got a 118i last year in mineral grey and it’s definitely a few shades darker. I prefer the mineral grey if i had to choose.

Yeah DG is a great color and I'm glad I got it with the S3. That paint changes in appearance in so many ways. Somehow it looks awesome at night time with lights shining on it, almost a silverish hue to it. Since I got gray out of my system it was easy to go with white for the M340i.

In all honesty, I really wish Hockenheim Silver was an option for this car but I know it's exclusive to the M2. There's something about that shade of color I really like.

My M340I is nardo grey (very limited special production color for 2021 in Canada). It's mono color (non metallic).

It's still weird to see it on a BMW since I'm used to it being an Audi color

With a ceramic coating and detailer - MG looks insane.

Wicked levels of gloss depending on how the sun and shade reflect.

It turns heads, the colour gives an M340i a fairly evil appearance.

That Nardo edition is pretty darn special.

Nothing wrong with AW or MW either - I think you just lose out on some depth perception from some of the more sculptured body panel elements, esp. the rear 3rd quarter which is what I expect most people to see

Mineral grey is a great color... it's a great "not boring" grey...always have been a fan, but prefer some of the other greys like Dravit and the new Brooklyn.

That said, I LOVE mineral white. It's like the perfect "there's something more to this white" kind of color. I've always had white cars, both alpine and mineral. My current is mineral... when it's clean it beams and almost glows. Go mineral!

White has no depth and looks good on RS turbos and golf Gti's. The depth and the contours of the car are lost in white.

This is mine with a 5 year coating. Always looks shiny and the rain makes all the dirt slide off and look like the car just came from the detailer.
