I don't go that far as fixing potential issue - I am still at the inspection stage. From the original article https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/...f-nicht-laden/
Fingers crossed we’ll know something by the end of next week!

Just heard from bmw who’ve advised that there is likely a fix next week. They are hopeful for a September 1st delivery all being well

That sounds promising, I might chase mine up tomorrow.

Mine’s a lease car sat at the dealer, so rather than join the queue for them to deliver, I’ve told them I’ll pick it up.

Looking forward to a nice tax benefit as soon as possible!

As a fix is due this week, I will contact my dealer tomorrow to confirm if they have any news. If anybody receives any information from their STOP020700 Recall it it would be great if you could update us all 👍🏻

First world problem compared to lots of other things going on but still mildly irritating.
I'm in the same position. January December ordered and just at there. Makes it worse they registered the car and just sat there as a old 20 now

That’s awful! What dealer is that?
Did you tell them you wanted 70 plate?
Shocking!

Thankfully it's a company car but was piss poor to register it straight away and then leave it in a car park as part of this all. I want my private plate on it as soon as it finally comes but sounds like it's effected and needs repairs to battery as still in the dark and nobody will tell me a timescale. Bmw U.K. now refuse at their complaints team to respond to me anything about dates or timescale. Will help anything else but that they said

Decided to call the lease company instead of the dealer today and try to get them to chase up a proper answer.
After waiting five minutes, I was told that the dealer had updated the anticipated delivery to end of August.
The lease company is checking whether this is going to happen, or just an aspiration!

My update from today is that BMW Germany are still preparing the testing procedure for the cars. They seem to be close to release that to the dealers, but might not be ready by the end of this week.

Then, the release of a car will depend on the testing results/logs BMW Germany get. And again, the time frame of the whole process is unknown, especially if a car fails the test.

For me it looks that with a bit of luck first cars would be delivered this, but more likely next week. If unlucky, it could go over 2 more weeks. Hopefully you have better news.

Thanks DanAdam. With this info I called my dealer who’ve said it’s unlikely my car will be sorted by the end of the month. They are still doing tests in Munich.

Just checked with my dealer, no further update.
They are now telling me that the Reg number I was advised of, will now need to be changed, as the car definitely won’t be available before end of August.
No information on when I am likely to see the car!

My dealer is saying 7 - 10 days but it's not clear if that's for a reply from BMW about the process to test/assess/remediate or if that's 7 - 10 days before my car can be rescheduled for delivery!

So ordered on 29th Jan, delivered to the dealer on 31st July, held for 70 plate (Leaseplan insisted) now stuck awaiting a review/fix! Even given Cronavirus not a great experience.

When I demo'd a 330e I loved it so hopefully once it's delivered/collected I can get to grips with it and enjoy 'owning' it!

Yep. My other option was a merc c hybrid, which when I ordered had a longer lead time. Was laughing at my colleagues who went for the merc, they’re now all getting delivered.
Not laughing now!

Just checked the BMW site and message now reads;

There is an open safety related recall on this vehicle. Please go here to book an online appointment for your vehicle, or contact your local retailer here for more information. Recall code 0061560500.

I had a look at the C class, and the G20 was a superior car, so i wouldnt worry too much. Plus the C will be replaced next year, the current one is definately showing its age.

BMW arent the only ones having issues, Ford have issues with the Kuga PHEV aswell.

At least you guys have a chance of getting yours soonish, my 'March' ordered car isnt arriving till November, it was originally due to come in Dec, so im hoping it might be sooner than Nov. I really want a new toy

If it helps guys, I’ve hired a 420i from Enterprise while I wait for mine. It’s like being back in 2013. Keep forgetting to pull the handbrake up!! Remember when we had to do that!
Think our 330e’s will be worth it when they arrive...when!

Anyone else now getting “Recall code 0061560500” rather than STOP020700 , when they put their VIN number into https://www.bmw.co.uk/en/footer/quic...e-recalls.html ?
