Seats
Is it me or are the Msports seats bloody uncomfortable in the G20?
Far too hard! I cannot sit in the car for longer than 30 mins without lower back pain. |

Well planemad, in my experience they are not uncomfortable. I have the basic seat configuration without lumbar support and have no discomfort when driving long distances. I am in no way saying the are a comfy seat like an armchair, but they provide support in all the right areas and I get out of the car after 200+ miles without any aches or pains. I did find during the first month or so of ownership the side bolsters were set a little tight, but since I found the switch to open them out, I have no complaints at all.
My wife’s XC90 are way more comfortable but it is a completely different car. This is my first BMW so can’t comment or compare with previous M Sports. |

For the first week or so I felt the same, could not feel comfortable.
What fixed it for me was to angle the seat base slightly down at the rear. This pushed my lower back more firmly into the backrest which is fairly upright. |

I came from a Volvo XC60 to the 330e. I generally suffer with a bad back aswell. I’ve had zero issues, 2-3 weeks in. I’ve even done a drive to France in it. I did have lumbar option tho, maybe that helps.

Try adjusting the bottom part of the seat to make it flatter - it can upset a nerve which causes issues - the dealer told me thjs

Had my 330e 13 months and find the seats very comfortable. No issues on 8 hour journeys. I think they did feel hard at first but soon loosened up.

Seats felt hard for the first couple of months but have since loosened up and are very comfortable now. Having said that I sat in a MY21 with the new msport seats recently and they seemed to have more padding in them.

This topic has been done to death on here. It's nothing new. My G20 seats took more than 20k of driving to break in. More than 2 hours in them is painful.
