Pressing the start button twice does not shut off the car

Is anyone else annoyed by the fact that you cannot turn the car fully off by pushing the ignition button twice (as was the case with all of my prior BMWs)?

Further, I cannot find miles per gallon calculation on my M340i instruments.

Define fully off? I think it's never fully off.

It does indicate gallon per mile usage. About the same. Did bmw (any brand) ever show mile per gallon?

I believe many of my previous BMW showed MPG. It was one of the steps of button on the turn signal stalk. I have seen it on the M340ix but without looking I can't tell you where.

My 1991 525 actually had a analog guage that dynamically presented MPG as you drove. I thought that it was worthless to see it swing through the numbers as you drove and changed gears etc.

You can turn the car off using the iDrive - drag down the top menu and you will have a turn car off option at the extreme right.

Open the door and all will go off once the power button is pressed.

Use the BC button to cycle through the menus on the right side of the display next to the Tach. Its one of the menu options....

Hitting radio off worked, example if sitting in car and wanna turn it off because you're waiting. Turn car off and press radio power button for a few sec.
