Air duct trim removal?

Anyone have any tips on how to remove these? Tried for the last hour it’s been major PITA! wanting to replace them with gloss black ones.

They're only held in with clips, just use a couple of trim removal tools, one to wedge and a second to move around the outside and it should pop out.
