Production date of 2022/10/42?

So attached are the dates that were sent to me by the dealer. I'm unclear on what the 4 different dates mean. My guesses are:
  • Req. Prod = Requested production date?
  • Sub. Prod = No clue on this.
  • Conf. Prod = Confirmed production date?
  • Quota = Allocation for the month of?
The 3rd number in the dates is the week number. So 2022/10/42 means week of Oct 17, 2022. But my tracking status says "Production begins / Today's the day: your BMW has entered the production queue."

It's been saying that for a week now, so I'm assuming they should be starting working on the car by end of this week? And from what I have read, it takes about 2 days for the car to come off the assembly line?

Thanks!

I went to production begins on 10/10 and was given a confirmed production(build) date of 10/18. I checked the status tracker on BMW Garage and using the F12 hack I saw that the production date had been moved to 10/20. I called Genius this morning and was told it's being built and is expected to be completed on 10/20. The agent said that the website often updates the intermediate stages, i.e., entering assembly etc, once the vehicle is produced, on the confirmed build date. So im guessing your vehicle went Production Begins around 10/10 with a week 42 build date and should be completed this week, similar to mine.

I would call Genius to get the most specific and relevant information.

Year/Month/Week...

not day.... so you're in build week 42 on a yearly calendar.

You don't need Google Chrome. It will work in Microsoft Edge, Brave, and Firefox. Just not sure about Safari.

It should be there. There are probably multiple URLs listed. Find the largest one by size. Type "forward" in the search box to filter out items that don't have that word. You should only see about 6 results. From those pick the largest one in size. See my screenshot, although it is not filtered by anything. I have highlighted it in yellow.

That's a really great find. Thanks! For me it said prodDate: "2022-10-20" earlier today. I just checked again, and the status is Entering Assembly Line, and the prodDate changed to 2022-10-19. I'm really excited now since the dealer said it could be 4-6 months. If I can get it by December maybe they have some better incentives.

I got it. Thank you.
I see it says Production date of 10/24/22. Does that mean begins or finishes on that date? Even though on my garage it says productions begins, it has yet to move into exterior body assembly. Yesterday, Genius led me to believe that 10/24 is the date of completion. Seems a bit too soon considering exterior body production hasn't even begun.
Called Genius this morning and a different rep still says production should be completed by Oct 24th. She believes the car is further along in the process but the site has not reflected that as of yet. I don't know.

You'll most likely see the status change on the 23rd. It goes through assembly very quickly. I had a prod. date of 10/19 and it's just moved to quality check

I hope you are correct. So, your build jumped numerous steps in one update? Curious as to why it takes so long (2 -3 months) to get to the dealership and yet it takes only 1 week to build.

Yes it jumped from production begins to entering assembly line. The process of making the car is quick. It's the logistics of transport. I guess still supply chain issues from lockdowns. Think it may be getting better though. Shall see how long mine takes
