Honestly I can’t believe they have ruined the 4 series and M3/M4 with this awful look.
Even though the G80/G82 will come with 6MT, I am staying with my on order 2020 F82. There is no way I’d spend any money on this car when it looks this hideous and fugly. |

Nail. Coffin.
After 15 years and 6 BMWs, I'm out. Will enjoy my F80 for a few more months and look back on my time with it and my other BMWs fondly. Snagged a Nov build GLC63 allocation late yesterday afternoon. Time for something new.

I must be minority, as a g30 5 series owner (I.e. the most play safe bmw styling out there at the moment) I think this looks pretty good, too bad they couldn't slant the grill like the csl concept (probably due to the damping biting pedestrian regulations)

Wow. I guess I had hoped it would be a joke. The huge kidneys look ridiculous on the new 7, and now this design looks totally disconnected from known BMW reality to me.
As a fan of BMW design for almost 30 yrs, I guess I have to describe my feelings/reaction as almost a feeling of betrayal. Why would they do this? This looks so out of character for BMW. Extreme change for the sake of what? It does not make sense to me. It's extremely polarizing, and not in a good way.

We all joked when the 8 series came out how they'd eventually consume the whole bumper with the grille like the attached photo. I didn't think BMW would actually do it though.

I wonder how much drag this ugliness is going to add... you can't tell me that a huge vertical flat surface like this has been thought for efficiency other than collecting birds in the grill ... At least no one cares about the "lexus" tail lights anymore ...
