New BMW cars are getting ugly...
I saw the new 7 series in real life and that front end with huge grill looks so ugly.

Remember how great the old Z3 looks, really was a classic. Now the front end of the new Z4 looks crap in my eyes.

New X5 with huge grill looks ugly. Stop it with the huge grills! It’s like Lexus with their ridiculous spindle grills.

If we look at this other shot the interplay of light and shadow illustrates the 4er will have very broad rear shoulders and be far more organic than the outgoing F32.
A sibling to THE 8.
I think the new grill will look very similar to the M8 just the bottom grill will be angled opposite direction.
If that's the case it will look great

Grilles trace based on 4er grille outline shared by SCOTT26. Classic vertical grilles, hexagon mesh grilles, or something new from recent spyshot with horizontal grilles interpretation?

This is the best trace yet, IMO. I think you're the closest so far.. I think it could look pretty nice on the G80 based on these initial traces (I like this vertical grill styling much better than I thought I would) but the devil is in the details.

You know - initially the cars don't look that great, but the image grows on you. Mercedes changed their grills to vertical and it looks good. Also their cars don't look dated quickly. If you look at EVO RENDER it already feels dated.

I hope the designers are not going to ruin the front and engineers really focus on performance.

Can we also start a petition to ban the ugly orange reflectors in the NA.

Further to this - I hope the use Ohlin components for the suspension. Really want something special.

The license plate will go in middle which will be part off bumper and not one solid piece grill

This is a nice overlay but in my opinion not accurate as to what the grills will look like.

Now let's see the VisioniDynamics Grille in its place.

Very nice work... Have to assume the real thing will be pretty close to the center grills as is but the headlights and side bumper intakes from the M8.

I'm with you - I think it's weird to automatically assume the upper and lower openings are connected and ignore the horizontal bar where the plate is. Of course this is alllll speculation so we'll see but I hope we are right!
