In the driver's own words....it's THE most physically demanding race of the year....

Ambient temperatures of 30C (86F)
Cockpit temperatures of 60C (140F)
Humidity @ 90%

https://www.reuters.com/sponsored/ar...hing-the-limit

The antithesis of Spa and Monza....the maximum downforce and potential rain creates a much more level playing field.

Perhaps a podium of....
P1: VER
P2: HAM
P3: LEC

A low grip surface and even more if it doesn't rain to wash the dirt away,so yes invariably would suit RB's car at first glance.

Max VS ham probably. Without safety cars they can be pretty boring races

Predictions come and go but as this is Albons' home race then I'll just stick to quali line up
1 Max
2 Seb
3 Albon
4 Lec (no favours anymore from Seb's experience)
Ham? Many options for his setup, more I believe than anyone else and tricky to find the right one here so hence my wild card(s)

Seb reportedly took some time away to reevaluate his approach with Leclerc. I think (and hope) he will crush Leclerc this time!

Yeah. But the situation is complicated !
Charles has for the moment a lot of self confidence, he won the last 2 races in Francorchamps and Monza .
Sebastian on the other hand ....Is not Sebastian anymore .

But I really like Sebastian anyway !

I think people are calling this his home race because its the closest to Thailand, not because he is from Singapore. Dont forget that he races under the Thai flag too.

This is similar to how Verstappen calls Spa his home race (although he was born in Belgium, he races under the Dutch flag). That will change next year when F1 goes to race in Zandvoort.

Will be interesting to see which race Albon will consider a home race with the introduction of Vietnam to the race calendar.

Ex F1 pilot Juan P Montoya has added that Seb's problem he thinks is the technical side and not mental.Nothing wrong with Seb's ability, just being short changed by Lec angers obviously but not to the level of shaky driving.
Why isn't Seb's car set up for his favoured oversteer if it doesn't encroach on the cars pace.

I think Seb's decision to get away from the Ferrari Monza celebrations with Chas at the head of it was absolutely correct from his side because of the quali fiasco and Ferrari at least must be charged up to the coming competition against these two that should lead to quicker times..and trouncing Merc.

As far as I know Max is Dutch as his father was born in Holland (Netherlands).

Jos was indeed born in Holland. But Max was born in Belgium and his mother is Belgian (according to Wikipedia). I guess that would make him 50% Belgian and 50% Dutch. He just chooses to race under the Dutch flag.

I kind of disagree with that statement. It's unsportsmanlike to ignore the celebration. One could argue what Leclerc did was unsportsmanlike as well, but you'd think Vettel would be the bigger man and still celebrate with the team. He supports Ferrari at every turn and never publicly criticizes them. I'd have thought that he would have still celebrated with them considering how big the win was for the team.

Sounds about right to me and not connected but must give a tick to the relaunched extremely strong Oranjeboom pilsner
