BMW Connected Drive no longer functioning

Hi guys,

I just noticed after logging on to my connected drive through the website and phone, its no longer functioning its shows last vehicle status from 1 month ago. Doors shows unlocked(even tough its located), vehicle location is also wrong. My software was recently upgraded to 03.2019. Everything else in the car works fine. Anybody else experiencing this issue ?

Sometimes there are outages in the service. Haven't noticed anything on my F30 but I haven't sent any destinations yet today.

It's very intermittent for me as well. Remote 3D view almost never works on call, usually i'll get an image from several hours to a day ago. Remote start is hit or miss, seems to work fine from my office but at home never works.

Log out from connected drive on your phone and log out of your car as well. Then login on your car first and accept the applicable data/privacy disclaimers. Follow this by logging back in on your phone. This should fix the issue.

I believe that all these hundreds of connected drive complainers are being totally unreasonable. You need to consider that BMW just recently introduced connected drive 11 years ago and it's going to take some time to work the bugs out.

Rebooting the Idrive should resolve Connecting Drive issues.

Hold the power button down for 70 seconds exactly.  

The iDrive screen will turn off and reboot around 25 seconds, but you have to keep holding the button for 70 seconds.  

After a minute, release the button, wait for iDrive to boot up  

On the iDrive, click "Apps", highlight "installed apps" and then update services via the iDrive

My Connecteddrive app last worked 2 days ago. It still states the readings for 18th April.
I have logged out, deleted the car from the app and reinstalled. No change.
Anything else I can do?

BMW has updated the Connected app 3 times in the last month which is promising. When the app stops working, I have generally been successful by executing the following steps:
  1. Reboot iDrive by holding the volume button for 20 seconds.
  2. Updating "Apps and Services" from the Apps menu and tapping the "Options" button on the center console.
  3. Deleting and re-creating the vehicle in the BMW Connected app on the iPhone.

Thanks I will give this a try. Mine stopped working after I updated the app over the weekend.
