I’m glad yours is moving forward, it’s frustrating to see it sat at a status and not progress.

Indeed! So looking on another thread it took someone about 14 days from 9000 to collection of his car from the dealer. We shall see... :-)

Any noise from the turbo mlcgd21?

My current car has a nice induction sound when hammering the throttle and a nice present let off sound.

Wondering what I could achieve with a decent cone filter and leaving the air box lid off!

My VIN is now live on the BMW Connected App! Won't let me download the driver guide though, fails with "Adding vehicle failed" error :-(

But have managed to get the manual from the iOS Driver's Guide app :-)

My dealer only gave the last seven characters of the VIN, so I’ve added mine to the connected app but can’t get the manual yet. I have to content myself with the 330i manual instead.

Yes a lot of noise actually, I wasn't expecting it so it was funny the first time I heard it. When letting off the gas the sound is really noticeable.

The 530e which I drove didn't make any of these sounds.

I'm really enjoying the performance of the 330e and the way it mixes it with good fuel efficiency, this petrol engine is super refined in my opinion, leagues above a 4 cyl diesel which vibrate a lot.

So I finally tried the range with the full electric mode, I started with a full charge and I drove normally from my house to work, and from work to my house. I drove like I always do, I did not try to save energy. AC was off though. 50% city driving and 50% out of city, at around 100km / h.

Total achieved = 52 klms

Now 9605 - pre EU port of entry. Basically at the port waiting to be loaded onto the ship...

32.5 miles, that is pretty impressive. If you were more "gentle" do you think you might squeeze 35 miles?

Yes for sure or even more, I didn't drive slowly. But keep in mind AC was off, it makes a difference

Wow! Some of you are having your cars delivered pretty quickly! I ordered mine 18th August, not due for delivery until 9th December

I think there was a little lull when they first were available (early July) and since then the word has caught on and orders have flooded in with corresponding impact on delivery times... Luckily I've only had to wait about 9 weeks, assuming it stays on schedule.

It's not surprising given the tax benefits and excellent reviews. If you can live with the small boot there is nothing like it out there. The diesel hybrid C-Class Merc wasn't available (or certainly not to a decent spec in my company car scheme and let's face it (as a former c300h owner) diesels are not that refined and Merc's have a bad reliability record), nor was the VW Passat GTE (which did just launch this week but is WAY expensive for a mid-premium brand and has less range and a lot less performance, if a little more space. To spec a Passat to a similar level to my 330e was about £45k. Ok...

I think we'll see a lot of 330e's on the roads in the next 6 months. I'm still amazed at the lack of normal G20 3-series out there. They are really rare...

It makes sense there would be a rush of company car orders. I currently drive a Golf GTD, as my company car. So, just by switching to the 330e I am saving almost £50, before you factor in congestion charge, diesel surcharge on parking and parking permits in London, also my daily journeys are rarely over 30 miles. This car will be great!

That didn't take long! Currently 9650 - awaiting despatch to dealer. I've now got 26th September penciled with the dealer for handover (based on them getting the car by 23rd Sept) but I reckon it might be a bit sooner! Can't take a week to move a car from Southampton to Reading, can it?? ;-)

Not yet, I got the charger installed on Thursday though so that’s all ready now.
