Hey guys, long time lurker, I am looking to do some exhaust modifications on my 2020 m340i but had some questions. I see most custom exhausts dont have a muffler, or have a really small one. What would be the difference at that point in just doing a muffler delete? Also if anyone has videos of what the drone is like with a muffler delete, I would love to hear. I had a muffler delete on my old 430i and if was no drone at all.

Just install one of our downpipes leave the rear alone. Muffler deletes rarely sound good just tons of bass..

If you want more delete the resonator

There's a lot of drone with a muffler delete as mentioned above, just get a downpipe.

Could you recommend a good downpipe that won't thrown a CEL, preferably the cheapest one possible 😅

If you have a 2020 just get a tune after to turn it off. If not you can do the AA catted downpipe. It's not cheap though.

Active Autowerke is the only downpipe that will not trigger the check engine light.

I thought about this, but I don't want to void my warranty just yet. What about using an o2 spacer?

AA catted downpipe won't throw a code. You won't need an o2 spacer.

The camera doesn't capture it as it really sounds. Just my Dinan with stock DP is louder than that IRL, . Also, this doesn't capture the drone when cruising at low RPMs (even with the valves closed) that the Dinan is known for.

Yeah, I was trying with different holding points. Figured by the window would work but I think I got more wind noise than anything.
