Oh I thought you were referring to it being an option in the US for $250.

Yeah. There's stuff in these packages that I wouldn't want even if it was completely free.

I had this problem. The drivers window doesn't seal properly. The dealer added expanding foam tape around the window guide to make this stop. They will also remove some foam from the vents in the trunk to reduce interior air pressure. Unfortunately placing the tape requires removal of the metal exterior trim, which will bend. So they'll have to order new trim for you as well if they go this route.

Wow that's kind of complicated. I haven't had first service yet but will be bringing this up when I do.

Registered to post here about my m340i. My driver side wind noise is WAY louder than passenger.

I thought that the driver side sounded loud before I even tested it, and then I had someone else drive the car while I listed on the passenger side and its a night and day difference.

I can hear significant wind noise before I even hit 40mph.

Is this something I can call my local dealer to make a service appointment about you guys think?

I feel like the tire/road noise on my car is excessive. 18" all season non-RFT (Pirelli brand I believe). Going 70mph it's hard to have a conversation

My summer set of wheels is 18" with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 runFlat tyres - one of the noisiest tyres in the category.
For comparison, at 70mph (~110km/h) my car is so quiet that I catch myself speaking with a lower voice because my normal conversation sounds too loud for the environment.
This car with double-glaze front windows is quiet enough to keep normal tone in conversation at 160km/h (100mph).

Unfortunately that's not an option in the US, maybe that's what is making the big difference.

ok, here we go

1. Mine has a whistle noise(like a plane taking off) at A pillar, when driving around 55~60mph, and only at this speed range. its so annoying !
2. front passenger side vent noise. I can't locate where the noise is, inside or outside, I've tried to clean up the area next to engine bay vent, didn't work.
The sound goes up when you speed up.
3. after I installed my front lip and splitters, noise seems coming from the HVAC area(not sure), a high frequency wind noise... hope its not caused by the lip ...

First, I didnt expect that m340i is a quiet car until I had a g20 330i loaner from the dealership when I sent it to service, that 330i is deadly quiet on highway or city...

Now I doubt my life...

What can I do with this car...

Worst thing is I own it ...

Sounds like you should check out this thread:
https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1673630

We are a bunch of people who have excessive tire noise/bad bearing noise. Or, really, we don't know, but thats what it sounds like. The dealer have had my car for over 3 months with no results :-(

Does anyone know how to fix the whistling noise? I noticed it in my 2021 G21, too. Really annoying.

I have double layered front windows (I'm glad I went for this dealer recommended option) and with winter non-runflat bridgestone (19", staggered) tyres it's unbelievable quiet, almost no tyre noise and absolutely no wind noise. When I'm on factory fitted run flat summer set (Pirelli, the same size) there is noticeable more noise from tyres, but overall cabin noise is still at very low level which I would never expect from 3 series. Anyway I can't wait to buy new summer set, most likely Michelin Pilot sport or something in the same class from Continental.

But I do have a rattle from boot, which seems to be either from exhaust tips (fitted m performance diffuser) or from exhaust heat shield. Anybody experienced rattles from those two things? At least it sounds like something quite light and metal is loosen in back, e.g. license plate. And I don't think it's related to the back window rattle described in other threads here.

Can confirm that. Mine is also fitted with double-glaze windows ... No wind noise, even with 200 km/h the wind noise is just so low.
Only problem is I have a rattle sunroof which I don't think dealer will ever fix it .

I had the whistling as well, it depends on the strength of the HVAC and is due to the interior cabin pressure

bmw replaced the driver side door body seal

I dont think my M340i is quiet. especially at speed over 70mph and i have PS4.

But it is all relative. compare to my previous 3 F3x cars, this car is quiet AF.

Not only F30 has super noisy wind noise, the door/window seals would creak at the same time... (it was a repeated issue for both my 2013 and 2018)

At least to me, M340i is tolerable. but definitely far far away from being quiet on the freeway.
