wideband O2 sensors

does anybody out there have any experience positive or negative using a wideband O2 sensor on their car.

I’ve used an Innovate wideband gauge and digital gauge to tune a carbureted engine. You need a sensor bung welded into the pipe, and depending on the gauge you might have to calibrate it (usually a simple process in free air) after initial installation. You also have to be extremely careful about proper grounding of the gauge and harness, since the gauge is measuring very small voltage changes in the sensor. It’s recommended to solder connections and avoid using cheap crimp wiring connectors.

After that you get clear digital readings of AFR. Mine also has a connection for data logging to a computer.
