Suspected corrupted iDrive on G20, need help how to restore to factory

Hello guys, I need help on restoring back my iDrive7 HU on my G20 Wagon here in Japan

I accidentally plugged this PLUGTV+ OBD that was left by the first owner of the car without researching what it does and after plugging it in my iDrive7 has completely lost the following:

1. bluetooth connection
2. touchscreen
3. maps/navi
4. and more

the plugtv+ made by codetech in japan is a TV/navigation canceller for the BMW iDrive operating system 7.0 (iDrive7), they use it here in japan so you can watch movies operate the navi while driving

upon checking everything and trying to do a hard reset using the volume button , I think my iDrive is now corrupted.

I read about using e-sys and enet cable to access the Headunit but I dont know where to start.

I dont speak japanese yet and i dont think anyone in Japan will be able to help me on my problem.

Any feedback is much appreciated!

Try to perform a factory reset of your iDrive system. This will be an actual hard reset; holding the volume button for 40+ seconds is not a hard reset because it just does a simple reboot.

To do a hard reset, find the settings "Reset vehicle data". More information can be found here: https://www.bimmer-tech.net/blog/ite...-idrive-screen
