Stick a fork in my Spurs, they seem done. I kind of lucked out that my wonderful directTV didn't let me watch the game because of the wind/rain in Dallas last night.

At least my Stars are looking good!!
They went after him hard, but he had already made his mind up he was leaving. Guess he didn't want to deal with the fans/media here after his epic choke against GSW up 3-1 in the WCF.

The real screwup was not keeping Harden when he was only asking for like $3 mil per more than what they were offering.

Can you imagine what the Western Conference would have looked like the last few years if Harden was at point, slide Russ to the 2, and KD at the 3?

Sure, there wouldn't be much defense. But you don't need defense when you drop 140 a night!

Unless the NBA installed a 2 ball rule
There isn't enough room and balls for Westbrick and James "no D" Haren

Can people give that up? Look at his stats the last couple of seasons. He plays defense....a lot.

Prime example: Game 5 against Utah. The only reason we won was because of Harden's defense in the last couple of minutes.

This season, for guards he's currently second in total steals and first in deflections per game. Obviously he can't play defense though

He certainly isn't going to win defensive player of the year at any point in his career, but he's not that 11 minute YouTube clip someone put together of him like 5 years ago.

I like James Harden.

My kids got me a DeMar DeRozan jersey for Christmas. I've never worn it. I never wore my Tim Duncan jersey either. But maybe I'll wear it for Saturday nights game. See if it's lucky.

10 guys running around just chucking up 3s. Not basketball in my opinion. You get that occasional “ Set up a play.” However, for the most part, just shoot behind the arc, raise up your arms when someone drives to the basket, and complain when you feel you were fouled.

Sounds like my last few games at the Northtown YMCA court.

Have you seen the Spurs play? They use a real offense. They've played the same way for the past 10 or 12 years. Not "chucking 3's".

True. I actually enjoy watching the Spurs. Some say they play a boring style of basketball. However, a successful organization. So there doing something right.

FYI I hope the Knicks get their shit together soon. The NBA needs a successful New York team. That Knick owner seems to be a laughing stock.

I’m a diehard Knicks fan. Let me tell you, I can’t stand Dolan. You can’t say he doesn’t spend, he does. It just never works out. Dolan is a over sensitive, rich, gold spoon fed individual. He treats fans that express their opinions like criminals. I truly wish he sold the team. A lot of talk about next season free agent class. I’m sure the Knicks would find a way to mess that up. NYC is waiting for a winner.

All the "experts" have said KD is going to NYC since Jan/Feb.

The Knicks have the cap space for two max players. The current speculation is that Kyrie and KD will go to NYC.

If Leonard ends up going to the Clippers, they will immediately be a top 3 team in the West.

This offseason is going to be interesting. Leonard has said before he's not interested in pulling a Wade/James or KD to GSW building a super team, he wants to do it on his own with great role players.

Well last season his overall defensive rating is 109.8 ranking him 385th

Actually last year it was 105.7 for the regular season, this year it was 109.8...and he still ranked second in total steals and first in deflections per game. The NBA isn't about defense anymore, the majority of teams play a run-and-gun type offense now. Seeing anyone with a defensive rating under 100 over the course of a season is really rare.

For the playoffs so far he's kept it below 100 though.

Plus with the tear he went on throughout the season, when we had half of our starters out injured for tons of games.....I think he's allowed to not be overly concerned with being the best defender on the planet. He was too busy carrying the team scoring 40+ every night and making sure we made it into the playoffs.

Fair enough
He does deserve MVP as he has done more with less , over Giannis
But let's not have any delusion of grandeur of James' defensive capability

I think he should win it this year as well, just based on everything as a whole.

But Giannis is a monster and will end up winning it probably multiple times over the coming years. That kid is so good, and gets better every year.

NBA referees are horrible. Way too many soft foul calls. Ruins the flow of the game. I’m watching game 6, GS vs. Houston. The referees are driving me crazy. Let these boys play ball.

Teams like the Houston Floppers always asking for calls don’t help. Harden’s shooting motion includes him falling to the ground. Every time Paul misses a shot he looks at the ref complaining.

As if any NBA team is any better

Everyone on Golden State could break someone's arm and then look at the ref like they're crazy for calling a foul.

NBA has gone way too soft. It's a bunch of 7 foot giants yelling and screaming over the slightest contact. Drives me insane.

Knicks will magically get #1 pick to draft Zion.

And yes, the foul calls are way out of hand.
