Apple also just announced a bug that causes overheating when charging. I would look into that as well.

This actually happened to me on Monday. The NFC chip was fried. Unfortunately there are no replacement iPhone 15 Pro's available in the area or by express delivery.

I have an iPhone 15 and I did wirelessly charged it already couple of times in my 330i from 2019 with no issues. No special heathing or crashes / no broken nfc chip. Not sure which experience other iPhone 15 users have.

Installed IOS 17.1.1 today. BMW wireless charging issue is finally fixed. 😎
