Traffic Info Not Available
Is traffic down for anyone else? It was working a couple of days ago, but hasn’t since yesterday. No traffic status on maps, and the traffic widget shows “traffic info not available “
Other connected services appear to be working fine, and I tried rebooting iDrive. I’m in the central Virginia region. |

Yes, out for me yesterday (11/10) as well, in St. Louis. Haven’t tried yet today, but will soon. Various reboots, toggling, updating efforts had no effect.

Got the below email from connected drive customer care this morning, followed the directions to the letter, and no surprise, it did not help. But maybe it’ll help someone else?
===== Dear Customer, Thank you for contacting BMW Assist Customer Care. VIN: XXXXX Please be advised we see a provisioning issue on the back end, please make sure vehicle is out in the open and Bluetooth is off on your phone before performing the steps below. We recommend performing an Update Services in your vehicle to refresh the connection. This can be done by following the steps below: -Hold the power button down for 70 seconds exactly. (The volume knob is the iDrive power button) -The iDrive screen in the center of the vehicle will turn off and reboot around 25 seconds into the 70 seconds, but keep holding the power button for the entire 70 seconds -After 70 seconds, release the power button and wait for iDrive to boot up -On the iDrive, click "Apps" and then press the “Option” button near the iDrive controller in the center console -Choose “Update apps and services”. The vehicle will then undergo a short update. -Finally, remove the MYBMW app from your phone and then reinstall the app. Once the update completes, we recommend shutting the vehicle off and locking doors allowing 30 minutes before restarting the vehicle to check the connection. Please navigate to the main menu on your iDrive screen in the vehicle and select Car, Driver Profile and make sure you are logged in. Please navigate back to the main menu and select Car, Settings, General settings, scroll down to Data Privacy and select and make sure box is checked for Agree and activate all. Lastly, Please Navigate to the main menu on your iDrive screen and select Navigation> scroll down to Settings and select>Configure Services and make sure box is checked for Traffic Information. |

Also, I don’t have the message about “initialization” present. I do see, from time to time, that I turn rtti off and somehow it magically reenables itself.

Just another data point - I had never tried Spotify via iDrive, but it is unavailable (like others’ experiences), and the News app has not updated since 11/9 (rtti disappeared on 11/10 for me). The Weather app is up to date tho.

Ugh! I wish I had seen this thread before deleting and re-adding my profile in attempt to fix Spotify in iDrive.
I first noticed it on Saturday morning with Spotify stuck on a "Loading" screen. I saw some other post which suggested deleting and re-adding your profile so you can restart the Spotify pairing process. Did that and I now get a screen which says "Spotify is currently not available" |

First thing this morning, still no rtti etc. but just now I have rtti active again, and everything else. No discernible reason, and who knows if it’ll hold…
