Camera needs to go to SpecSavers
I’ve noticed a few times that on one stretch of road the car suddenly thinks the speed limit jumps from 30 to 80. I assumed it was an error in the map data, but today I realised what's doing it: a SOLD sign outside a house, and it's reading the SO as 80.
Anyone else seen similar? Glad I don’t have it set to auto accept. |

I also saw 80mph the other day and wondered how it happened.
I stopped using auto accept years ago when I tried to put my foot down on a dual carriageway and the car picked up a 20 sign on a side road. Needless to say I didn’t quite accelerate as quick as I would have liked. |

Totally autonomous driving.... you have to be joking. Not quite good enough yet!

My previous car, a 2017 Mercedes E-class was even worse. It often read the limit signs on the back of trucks. At least my G20 doesn't do that (yet).
It surprises me that there is no logic saying a speed limit in the U.K. can't be above the national limit. The car known where it is, and knowns national limits to adhere to the national limit signs.

Another one yesterday. 30mph road with 20mph side streets coming off it left and right. One of the 20 signs was very slightly angled, maybe 15 degrees. But that was enough for Hawkeye to spot it!
I think the system needs a bit more AI. |
