What's the MSRP? Is this including incentives?
It's for an M340i off MSRP. I think that's total incentives.
Without knowing the MSRP hard to tell. What's the price of the car?

I was able to get almost 9% off MSRP before all other incentives.

Need a full breakdown including MSRP. MSRP on an M340i can swing nearly $20k depending on what options you're getting.

Also need dealer discount and incentives separated out. For example If you got $3,500 in incentives and that's included within the $7k off, then it probably is not a good deal.

I got a letter saying $7k off on any car. So I take it I can configure any car and take $7k off. So base model with $7k would get the largest percent discount.

That's interesting. What's the $7k off for? Some regional promotion? Is it through the dealer or through BMW?

It's because I'm a current owner so they extended an offer to upgrade. Was thinking of CPO for my next car or getting a Tesla.

So it sounds like the total $7k is a combination of dealer discount and incentives. In that case it's not a great deal on an M340i, even at the most basic model. Being a current owner, you'd qualify for anywhere between $3k-$4,500 in incentives (depending on if you're buying or leasing), which means you're effectively getting a pre-incentive discount of between 4.5 to 7% off MSRP (assuming you go for a base RWD M340i with absolutely no options.)

The standard "good" deal on the M340i seems to be 10% off MSRP before incentives. This fluctuates a bit based on region but seems like most people that try are able to achieve that discount.

Ok. If I decide to go with a bimmer I may just get a CPO and get 40% off MSRP in a couple years.

Shouldn't be that difficult to obtain.

Yep, deals were harder to get for us early adopters/ innovators. I got mine last August; however, since December, deals on M340i are much easier to come by.
