I am sorry this may be a stupid question.

The A/C shown in the picture. How can I remove that?

It appeared from somewhere but I cant see how to switch A/C off.

If you have the Menu A/C button to the right of the circulation option you can switch it off from within that menu.

Agreed. I miss the physical button but given the situation I just use one of my iDrive shortcuts for ventilation settings so it's one less menu step to go through.
