Using Spotify on Apple Car Play on the idrive screen it won't let me see or select Liked Songs. Can you connect with a cable to get a better connection?
Also, can you increase the daytime brightness of the idrive screen?

Not sure on Spotify but you can't use a cable to connect, it's wireless only. I've not found it too bad but every now and then it does drop out. There is an option in iDrive to change the display brightness. If you swipe the screen down with your finger from the top I think there is a menu item for screen settings. Or go to Car-Settings and one of the menu options is Display where you can change the brightness.

Thank you. Are you sure the brightness setting isn’t just for nighttime?

There’s a physical scroll wheel in the area that contains the buttons for the lights just to the right of the steering column (RHD Cats)

Screen dimming has been a problem with heavy window tints. I don’t believe there is any manual way to make it brighter.
