Well what a waste of time! I arrived for a test drive that I had booked last week to be told there wasn’t a car available to test drive! Got a finance quote which was pathetic, the garage in question mustn’t want a sale. Got offered just the BMW finance contribution which doesn’t seem to have changed this quarter and apr is still 4.9%.
I’ve got a test drive arranged at a different dealership on Saturday. Hopefully that goes better.

What a pain! Doesn't sound like they deserve your money on either count!

Thanks for the info and good luck on the weekend, hopefully more luck next time

I've been told that they have replaced 'finance contributions' with 'chassis support' which comes straight off the list price. I haven't been in yet or had a quote but this is worth in the region of 4% apparently.
The dealer will then give you what they are willing to on top.

I got 4% from BMW in my quote but nothing from the dealer in question. I didn’t push it as I’ve just started looking and not quite ready to purchase.

That's atrocious, very unprofessional.

I find carwow gives you a good head start to negotiations It seems around 17% discount is the bottom line (at the moment), that is nearly all the all dealer's money gone (on a factory order car) so unless you find a dealer who is really desperate I don't think there is much more discount. Unless in the future BMW offer biggest contributions or lower APR, that can really help!

I now need to narrow down my priorities as options.
I'll 100% have the visibility pack(unlit roads at home) and Shadowline Plus pack.

Need to decide to get either the additional

1. HK sound stand alone plus Premium(sunroof, electric memory seats) Negative for me is no Head Up display. Will cost probably £20 a month more as the GFV is higher with the Tech Pack then Premium.

2. Tech pack but no premium pack. Get HK sound and Head up plus a couple of hits I'm not bothered by.

I drive the car 99% of the time. Any thoughts?

Hey,

The sunroof is the main option for me from the Premium pack, electric seats are a nice addition but not something you will notice unless sharing your car regularly, which you said you are not. (Lumber can be spec'ed as a stand-alone if needed)

So I guess the question I would ask myself is what is more important, sunroof and electric seats + £20/month or heads-up?

Worst case is both packs defo not an option for you?

Agreed on the Vis pack, need to spot all those bloody potholes on Surrey's roads!! And also you get high beam assist. So definitely for me too!

As per the thread in the f30 forum..
APR is still 4.9 but seems a bit more discount around. Coast2coast cars discount is now 17% up from 14 last year so maybe the likes of trl can go a little higher but the APR is cr8p still.
Roll on Q2 deals I'd say.

Garage List
Coast2Coastcars offering 18% discount on a M340i X-drive touring. That's a car with no options. Add on a few & its 17 or 16 %.

Those are for cash or finance purchase

The best I got was 18.8% on a 330i M Sport Plus from Partidge in Hampshire via Carwow.

Carwow works on local dealerships...it's worth trying different postcodes to see what you can get....personally I don't mind travelling when it saves me money!!
