Just a little comparison to my previous post, same journey as the last one but no traffic at all and there is an mpg increase of 11! This car is very impressive on an economy basis as long as you let the assisted driving do it's thing

What kind of speeds are you doing? 46 miles is my daily commute (each way) and I usually get 30 miles electric but have had 180mpg a few times, always above 150. Guess you're not doing 60MPH in the slow lane? ;-)

How do you know you’re getting 180mpg when it stops at 99.9 mpg?

Assisted driving doing its thing, the route is 2 miles to the motor way then 70 mph all the way and then 50 for the last 2 miles so nothing excessive but not 60 mph behind a lorry 🤣. Week days that route there is a lot of slow moving traffic on the last mile of the 70 stretch, at the approach to a roundabout which must use quite a lot of battery up stop starting.

You change the units to litre/100km and you convert it cranester

Maybe sticking my nose in here as I don't have a 330e.....the range showing on my 330i often increases during long journeys - I do a long motorway run occasionally and I can be 40 miles into the journey and the indicated range has actually increased....presumably there is a bit of maths going on somewhere using average consumption for the current journey (that will be high as motorway cruising)? Maybe at the start of the journey it is based on overall consumption for the car since new??

I,wonder if the same applies to the 330e??

Yes, there are similarities.

The problem appears to be, EV range is more in your face, and many more users are seeing (and focusing on) the variations in real time.

How many ICE users will be analysing a range 'drop' of say 15 miles over a 3 miles trip, from a cold start? It happens all the time, but as the range may be 300 miles, and the range recovers over longer distance, as you say, it gets lost in averages.

The picture is also building up that many 330e users have quite a high energy demand, due to their driving profile.

I believe it goes back to 20 mins of previous driving.
