Multiple ConnectDrive accounts on one car
Quick question please... is it possible to have multiple myBMW apps and ConnectedDrive accounts connected to one car?
The missus and I will share the car alot and will have a key each to configure seat positions etc, but just wondered if she can have her own ConnectedDruve account too?

I don’t know, but to what end? The key assigned to the driver profile will bring up all the settings you would ever need. You could both share the same login so you could both send destinations etc., and still have the car adjust to your individual preferences depending on which key is used. Not sure what advantage individual connected drive accounts would bring.

Not really sure if there was any benefit. Just installed the app on the wife's phone and when presented with the login prompt, wondered if there was any reason for her not to have her own account.
As it happens, soon after noticed a small foot note on the app saying its only possible to connect one account to the car.

Having separate connected drive accounts in the car and with each assigned to a specific key then things like mirror settings and seat settings are set when you use a specific key. This means that when my wife uses her key the saved settings for her key are used in the car and when I use mine my settings are used. It does really work...

Yes but you don’t need to have separate connected drive accounts for the individual settings on individual profiles mapped to individual keys to work.

My wife and I have separate accounts and as mentioned above, you can’t have two accounts connected to a car through MyBMW, it just kicks the other one out when you try.
It probably makes sense to share one account at the moment as there’s probably few downsides to this. It’s not that big a deal for us, so can’t be bothered to change it. |

As said above, you can only have one account on the app. By having your own account it lets you store your settings online if you change cars, which may or may not be of any use to you. Probably not!!!
I am trying to sort out 2 BMWs with 4 identical keys and two drivers. It is taking a while!!! |
