I succumbed, as I knew I would, on delivery day. Still haven’t even driven at night... 🙄

Where was your car delivered from? Mine is arriving next week and I've been given the registration number which is for Portsmouth. I live in Chesterfield.

I've been told to expect the car to be driven to me. They said the same about my current car, but it was delivered on the back of trailer. Any miles driving it to me are part of the agreed lease miles.
My last pair of lease cars were driven to me, when I took delivery I noted the miles - the lease company also noted the delivery mileage on the paperwork so it didn't count towards my allowed miles.

Last Black Friday they were on offer from the Connected Store - so I'm going to try and hold out until then.

Isn't Black Friday in November? To save at best probably 30 odd quid? for a 45k+ car?

I figured the sooner I got it, the sooner I'd start getting my monies worth. And over life of car, £160 seems a bit of a bargain to me. Flawed logic maybe.

Still think it's a bit of a rip off though not being included in the car standard, seeing as all the hardware there. But a button that did nothing would annoy me more.

Yeah, black friday is in November. I think last year they dropped it from £160 to under £100?

I just don't drive that often in the dark anymore, and when i do it's in winter so i'm not likely to use it much over the next 6 months.
If i still drove daily in the dark i'd have stumped up for the laser lights. Even without them my spec went over £65k
Not even bringing my car home for another 10 days, so the clocks will have changed by then too.

For anyone who has the LEDs with HBA, does it just flip the high beam up and down or does it do the matrix thing with oncoming traffic (like the ICON adaptive LEDs on my X3)?

Fair enough. However i think ConnectDrive was at best 20% discount last Black Friday.

Think it's pretty basic; on/off of high beam. Does work well though. Only annoying thing I've found is that it's off by default, so need to switch it on each night time drive.

No idea why it can't be a setting to have on by default.

The variable light distribution aka matrix lights aka dancing lights only comes with laser lights. The HBA in standard adaptive LEDs just switches main beam on or off.

Looks great 👍🏻 I'm still waiting. I would be interested to hear your initial thoughts on the D in terms of performance?

I was fortunate enough to collect mine on new registration day and since then I’ve done a grand total of 66 miles. Hardly seems worth it 😉

That's mad, its April next week! Mind I doubt I have done that many in the Mini..... I have managed just over 2000 in nearly 5 months in the Audi though....

An update, as mentioned before I did get HBA added on.. and did first night drive yesterday... absolutely fine, went down lanes with zero street or house lights, lots of curves... brilliant light with standard LED's and bend around curves and corners etc. HBA works perfectly (as it did n my G30)

Lasers would look funky but to be honest, not necessary unless you drive at night often... standard ones are 100% fine

Would be interested to hear if your HBA stays on by default, inbetween drives. I need to switch mine on every night, which seems a bit counter intuitive.

Should be configured to be on by default, or at least an option in the settings.

My G20 has the £160 HBA add on. It is totally random, sometimes it stay activated and other times not?

Yesterday I drove in a multi-storey car park and switched it on (autopilot), left 4 hours later and it was still activated? Maybe sitting in the darkness kept it active :

It's not like there is even a consistent reset period of say 12 hours.

I had HBA on my F30 330e for 4 years so pressing it on is routine even in the daytime

Nope, manual every time, I prefer it that way

Agree it's intermittent as to when it remains on or not, it's a press of a Button away though

Yep, my button pressing routine is memory seat 1, start, Spotify shuffle on and HBA on
