If you don't have any coatings on the cerium parts to keep the spotting at bay then get some water spot remover plenty of good ones about, bilt hamber or Koch chemie for instance

I had the BMW coating thing applied. Some might think it rubbish, but as never had any paint treatment before, it does seem to keep it cleaner than normal.
Being a total philistine, I've never obsessed about cleaning the car. I was a member of the VW R lot prior, and there were some that really took things seriously. I live in the middle of farming country, and the sh** that is on the road soon transfers itself to the car. At least with the M340i I don't have chrome exhaust tips. They were a nightmare on the Golf R, and pitted quite easily. It was also dark blue so showed up the dirt almost as badly as a black car. Dravit hides things so much better!

I get really bad water spots on my mineral grey. I live in the countryside too and the air is full of fine dirt as the farmers are harvesting. Just a rain shower and the car looks filthy again 🤬

Absolutely. And why I don't worry too much about keeping it spotless. It's a losing battle and/or takes far far too much time.

Totally agree and I’m not anal about it either, but would be nice if there was a product someone could recommend that would help.

Honestly every time I see this car it looks better! I hate gold wheels from the Impreza generation, but here they just look so so good! Best spec G21 I've seen for sure
