Yes, Portimao was a cost option on my 330i.

The moment when you buy a £50k BMW and realise you have to pay extra for paint, electric seats and leather seats, no wonder they made so much money last year!

A bit like years ago when everything was an option. It was very easy to add several £k’s on to the base price.

Exterior.... Having owned an e61, think it best to wait a while to see in flesh.
Two things, apart from lack of buttons, that I'm not a great fan of. Screens. Already too distracting so I don't need more. Gear lever - I like and use mine, a lot. A bit to change gear, but more slipping across to sport. Rather keep it than get rid. |

All in all its OK bar lack of shortcut buttons. In this case it doesn't instantly age the pre lci cars which can happen and no massive grille even if they have whale sharked the lower bumper intake.

I saw a video where it stated they’ve switched over to matrix LEDs.

Having driven a Tesla Model 3 for the past 2.5 years that has no buttons, it's really not that much of an issue. I think the design is a step forward but the pricing increases are tough to swallow. The spec seems no different for some models, if not worse for others.

I just put my current G20 (330i) spec into the configurator and its £50,675. I think I will need some discount

As a recently acquired 330e owner my one qualm with getting such a late run pre-LCI model was that it might have a greatly extended electric range, or support rapid charging - like with the current Merc offerings which offer double the range and rapid charging. But no - still the same. And like many others I prefer the looks of the exterior, and idrive 7 with all the buttons. And the new one is so much more expensive! I'm incredibly happy I got in with the pre-LCI car.

Been on the configurator and the new LCI car is on there. Prices have gone up.
The M-Sport now has some nice 18" wheels as standard. Leather interior is now a £1300 option with the no cost option in black sensatec (fake leather) with alcantara on the seat and seat backs. There are some new paint colours, a couple of new greys. Not sure about the massive screen that replaces the drivers dials/screen, but it has no surround to shield it from the sun. It looks a bit odd. Plus hardly any actual switches with them all on screen. The drivers gear stick has gone too, with a small switch used to select the automatic functions. I presume you can't manually change gear unless you use the paddles. Front bumper looks good with modified headlights and front grille. I like the front end look. Not so impressed with the rear though. Having cancelled my G20 order in favour of waiting for the LCI to come out I have mixed feelings. Some good bits, some bad. Trying to keep it under £40k is even more difficult now too. |

Ooft, everything I've seen points to the LCI being a step down, would've been better sticking with the G20 order and then pulling it if you liked what you saw in the LCI

Costs are crazy now even for bmw. I think the laser light wording is just a website that needs updating.
At least they are giving everyone proper DRLs but just under 40k for a 320i m sport and 56k odd for an m340 is utter bonkers! |

I've been pretty apprehensive about the updates to the LCI after placing an M340i Touring order back in Feb. Looks like I'm in the minority but overall I'm happy with the updates. After spending too much on options I decided not to go for the lazer lights as I wouldn't really need them but didn't like the look of the pre LCI DRLs without the laser light option. Now the adaptive LEDs are standard and I prefer the new front end.
Optioned the shadow line pack but didn't like the wheels in black but also didn't like cerium grey everywhere. New wheels look much better than the previous ones. Ordered Dravit grey but then was torn that maybe I should have chosen Oxide grey. Now Brooklyn grey being a no cost option it clears that up as the better half loved that colour when we viewed an M3 in Brooklyn grey last year The base cost if the M340i touring is about £3500 more than pre LCI but as I don't have to pay for Dravit grey and shadowline it's only £1500 more plus the new lights are nicer. Prefer the M wing mirrors too and I'd happily have paid extra for the new wheels. £64k with options now though which is a lot for something which isn't an M3 Not completely sold on the big screen and odd gear selector but that's going to be everywhere if I like it or not planning on keeping it 6+ years so maybe I'll just adapt to it and get used to voice controls. Given how bad the LCI could have gone and I couldn't have avoided it I'm actually releived at what's been done |

Easty, given when you ordered are you definitely getting an LCI car?
I ordered 1st wek Jan (m340i touring) and really hope mine isn't lci. However, noises coming out of bmw are not hopeful! |

I think what they’ve done is put the blue accents that people liked from the laser lights on the adaptive LEDs. |
