Couldn't help but notice the USA version our friend has taken the time to give us all the information about (thanks for that by the way!) is 2.9.0, whereas my Europe/UK version is running 2.9.2....????

Anyone know if the "gal total" figure is in US or Imperial gallons?

I did a non-stop 195 mile run yesterday. The car reckoned I got 62.8mpg average over the journey. "My Trips" says 195 miles used 3.5 gallons, so that's:
- 55.7mpg if I assume it's using Imperial gallons.
- 66.9mpg if they're US gallons

Neither figure seems to align with the journey data in the car. The 62.8mpg is definitely the trip data ("Start of journey"). I wish it was "Ex works" or "Refuelling" but they're around the mid 50s.

My app had been working flawlessly till last Friday. I had the trip info and ability to locate car etc.

I reinstalled the app but realised it's probably the car not sending/receiving updates. It wouldn't check for software updates (function not available).

I then removed myBMW account off iDrive and tried adding it. It said it couldn't since there is no mobile data connection.

How do I check this? Where is the car's SIM card? What network is it on? I have been in multiple places so it would have been in places with a signal to start working right?

It maybe a problem where I live if there is mobile signal problem. Although none of our phones across three networks have an issue.

Very puzzling...

The annoying thing is to have saved radio stations it appears to need the myBMW account working?

Has anyone who got the 'My Trips' option ticked in Data Privacy Settings but no My Trips working in the My BMW App managed to make any further progress getting this to work?

I have now been told by ConnectedDrive Support that for this to work, I need the latest iDrive update installed by a Dealership! I currently have iDrive version 2022/03.30 installed.

Please can anyone confirm?

I have a latest iDrive and it still doesn't work, so don't bother.

It's crazy that no one in BMW can get a straight answer on why its available to some and not others, are the devs not allowed to talk!?

Like many others on here, I have been trying to view MyTrips in the App with no success so I emailed BMW Connected Drive and they replied with:-

After further investigation, I'm afraid the "My Trips" isn't available for your BMW. This is only available for vehicles produced after July 2020, whereas your car was produced in June 2019.

I'm sorry for any disappointment this may cause, but I hope this clarifies the situation.

If that is the case then why is the 'My Trips' tick box even offered in the Privacy Settings if the vehicle can not even run it?

I was told that I needed an iDrive software upgrade on my 330i 2019 by ConnectedDrive! They really cannot get their act together!

Interesting reading .I have had zero issues with My Trips..got the notification on the App to update it at beginning of October. Updated it to the current Android Store version, turned on the MyTrips setting in I-drive .Updated Apps and Services in I-drive. Went to the supermarket and back and hey presto, both trips appeared on the vehicle page. The destinations data was 100% correct.
I have an M340i with 07/2021.55 in I-drive and my phone is a Google Pixel 5. The Store Version on my phone is now 2.9.3
I have since found one minor bug in My Trips ..if I add up the individual trip data, it isn't equal to the monthly summary data..there were about 25km missing in October.
The Release Notes said trips of less than 1km won't appear, but it isn't related to that. I guess it's just a minor bug that will get fixed in the next App Release
Otherwise, it does what it said it would do and worked first time

I haven't had any issues with it. It should work in 2022/03.. It works fine with .2022/03 in my wife's 1 Series and with 2021/07 in my M340i.
Have you updated Apps and Services in I-drive? Make sure that the MyTrips box is checked in I-drive privacy settings.Then in I-drive press Apps, tilt left to highlight Installed Apps, press Option then seiect Update Apps and Services.
Retrospective trips won't appear but if you go for a drive the trip should appear in the App after your have stopped and completed the trip.

I've given up trying to even get it to work. Only really use the app to check fuel levels and that the car is closed when I'm out and about. What I'd love it to be able to do is to close windows/sun roof from the app. That would be more useful for me.

I've requested that feature countless times via the feature request option in the app. Always been ignored. There's probably some law against closing windows remotely in case some moron has their head in the way at the time.

Allegedly the sunroof is supposed to close automatically when sensing rain, but its never worked for me.

It doesn’t even close when it does this - it moves to the tilt position (which still lets in rain, depending on the wind direction). Far better if it actually closed!

Yes , it was built October 2019. I think that for cars earlier than June 2020, it requires 07/2020.xx for My Trips to work.
