Mine (M240i) was built early June, changed to 165 last week with an ETA of week commencing 6th Nov.

I'm a private buyer so don't think anyone is getting preferential treatment, it's just a sh*t show all round!!

Latest now is that the code has changed to 165 and the accurate( ! ) ETA is 1st to 5th Nov at the dealers. Not sure now which ship it should be on to get dates like that but dealer has been told this is an accurate ETA ?? ... we shall see.

Good news! It should be Niagara Highway eta into Southampton is 13th October. It’s in the Gulf of Mexico and The next port is Veracruz

Been told today of another three week delay now and car should arrive at the dealers on the 17th October....5th delay since ordering! Fingers crossed it's on this boat!

Looks like that boat is currently stuck and mine isn’t even showing as ready for transport so to be honest I think I’ll be surprised to get it before December!

Horizon Highway is on its way to Mexico due back into Southampton 31st October if it isnt delayed. It could get on that boat.

Whats your current build status code? 160?

Looks like I'm in a similar position.

Dealer has given me a screenshot of the BMW Status screen.
The car was built in July!
It now shows Status 165 with estimated delivery 31st Oct.

If it makes the boat that leaves tomorrow (26th Sept), will it change status? i.e can I check with the dealer again?


I ordered the car in Jan-23.
The "First" car arrived in June which was the date I was promised, but didn't have the options fitted so was rejected.
The dealer ordered a replacement car and has locked in the part-ex price, so I'm protected from that point of view.
But Im still on the hook for a car that is now out of warranty with another service due on the horizon.

The boat hasn’t docked yet into Veracruz it’s just sitting outside on the coast. It’s delayed so everything will be pushed back a few days on the shipping schedules.

I’ve read on other forums the status will update to 195, will take a few days to update once it’s left Veracruz. Just got to keep an eye on the ship when it docks up and leaves.

If you get the BMW order number or see it on the screenshot, you can ask the genius for updates. It’s an online chat saves contacting the dealers for updates.

Sounds like I’ll be on the Horizon then rather than Niagara as my status isn’t anywhere near being ready to ship, probably puts me mid November to dealer

My new G20 was ordered in April, a company car and cant get any build details at all internally because they don’t want me to have any thoughts on delivery date. All I get back is “if it comes before Xmas, consider it as an early present”
Reading all the posts I’ll be lucky to see by spring next year

My status is now 195 updated on 25/09, Genius says the car is at sea on way to Southampton ETA delivery w/c 23rd Oct.

It cant be on Niagara Highway, must be using another shipping carrier

I've just checked mine and the status has been updated to 195, too! Not sure what vessel it's on.

On the G42 forums theirs cars are on 195 with the same eta delivery date.

Someone has suggested ARC Integrity (Wallenius wilhelmsen) is due in Southampton around 14/10/23.

It left Mexico a few days ago around the same time when my status updated to 195
