Currently have this coded off but I’ve read reports online that this could prevent the airbag from deploying in the event of a crash. Wondering if anyone can confirm?

My second question: Is it possible to code the chime to go off just once (or a couple of times?) I find mine extremely annoying: the moment I unlock and open the door the chime goes off immediately regardless of whether I start the engine. This is primarily why I disabled it completely. What would be ideal is if the sound only goes off after I’ve started driving without my seat belt.

I could code this on the F-series so trying to figure out if someone might have figured it out on the G series.

It seems possible to disable activation of initial warning driver. Havent tried it yet.

Based on your question you would only have to use one of these in the driver's seat belt.

Sure. However I hate the obnoxious loud sound which goes off if a passenger has yet to put on their seat belt (just like the driver) — even placing an item heavy enough on the backseat can trigger the chime. So yeah I’d need to install everywhere. But like I said, I prefer to just code this.
