Can BMW void a warranty from an actual BMW part?

I was looking into retrofitting the LCI gear selector to the pre lci on my 2023 m340i. Before I do this, I just want to make sure I shouldn’t run into any issues warranty wise

It’ll depend on what the issue you’re looking to get resolved under warranty. They can’t point to a swapped gear selector as a cause for an oil leak. But any electronics issue they could leverage the mod as the cause.

Keep in mind the dealer never wants to cover anything under warranty unless it is to there benefit. However, it is your obligation as a consumer to dispute any stupidity the dealers sometimes throw at us owners.
