2020 M340i Ecutek Datalog Charts (DP, FF, Custom Tune)

Hi - I have a 2020 M340i which I recently had custom tuned on ecutek along with a catless dp, visconti ff kit and a xhp stage 3 trans tune.

My vehicle has the xdrive and we were not able to dyno at the shop.
In any case I've done a few pulls and logged data.

ethanol content on both runs was 50
TQ I am discounting 25% for Drivetrain loss (to be conservative)
HP I am calculating as TQ*RPM/5252
Boost PSI values as is.

I was thinking the values for HP would show maxing around 500 but am pleasantly surprised to see the numbers hitting north of 550. Am I missing something?

Please take a look; other values in the chart are boost in psi.
this is on a stock turbo.

sorry for the large image sizes.

Well assuming 25 % drivetrain loss is not really reasonable so ya it’s going to make your crank number look higher than it really is. Or is that a typo and you meant 15 as your numbers seem pretty believable given your mods

Cool! Did you do a 93 tune as well? Curious what the pickup in whp from e50 is versus 93 octane?

I meant 25%. So the numbers you see there are 25% lower than what ecutek data log captured.

I was thinking I’d be at 500-520hp range on e50.
So was just surprised to see it north of 550 .

I’ll do a similar log when I’m on 93 to see how the numbers compare and share it here… it’ll just take me a couple weeks to run through the tank though.
I’m curious myself. A true dyno test will be most accurate I know.. will make it out there to eventually.

Going to have to run through a whole tank of e50 first… I’ll do it and share it here

Sounds good Mo - I’ll give you a call on Monday. Is there a good time for your schedule for me to call?

AWD are typically 15% drivetrain loss, with RWD around 12%. I’d say dont get hung up on these numbers and slap a dragy on and do some 1/4 mile or 60-130 pulls to get a better gauge of how shes doing.

It drives great. I have a flex fuel sensor so I can run anything between 93 and e85 and the car will automatically make changes on the fly. (I also have port injection on my car). I switched from a bigger bmw tuner and my drivability is better on the racebox tune.

Port injection - how did you set this up? Is it helpful on 93 or just e50?

You can run full e85 on port injection. Yes, it helps on 93 but only really useful on full e85.

Works great and is super easy to install. I had zero issues with it. Everything was working right when I installed it. The hardest part is getting all the wiring into the car because the cutout on the m340i is TINY versus the supra's cutout on the passenger side firewall. But for the FF kit it's not bad. For PI, it was bad.
