Just ordered the Racechip Black + App on sale

Good deal - I think anyway - $565 shipped with App control.

Am curious as to how long the actual install takes for anyone who's done it.

Also, and my main question, should I upgrade from 245 square (PS4S) to be able to put the power down?

To be 100% clear, no plans to track - quarter mile or road course, going back to a track car for that - just wanted some more oomph in my daily.

Any and all insights welcome, this is my first piggyback tune and first time not in an M-car (2 F80's and 6mos with a G80) since 2017 and could barely put the power down in either of the F80's with 275 rears - G80 was xDrive. But again, not sure how this piggyback will add the power

Am currently able to easily nail the throttle at stock levels with DSC off and not break too much traction with some throttle modulation...what will happen with the extra power is my question?

TIA

I am on jb4 with map4 and sometimes I use map1 with adjusted wastegate and some other settings.

I tried to measure 0 to 60 times where I didnt launch the car but just gradually pressed accelerator pedal. Was getting around 3.5 seconds on map4 and map1 respectively.

I dont think you will have issues if you all wheel drive. I dont have issues at least.

Racechip install should take 15-20 minutes maximum it’s really easy!

I run pretty much in Map 5 all the time! The difference from standard to Racechip is quite pronounced, I’d still get a flash tune if it were simpler to do but as a halfway house I’m very pleased with racechip!

I’ve also found tech support to be very responsive to questions and they recently sent me out some new maps after the the car didn’t seem as smooth since the latest BMW firmware update.
