Right now I'm thinking of doing 2 cars... a truck or suv for towing a track car and a 2 door (cayman, m2, a Camaro or mustang variant in the track trims, or a Vette C7 or C8) ... still so many options tho!

M340i is on order. I will be sad to say bye to the M3 though for sure. I am pleased with the M340 though, a bit more comfort and tech for a few years will be a nice change.

I just recently did the same and planning to lease. I'm giving up the E92 M for a quick competent and comfortable ride. Honestly I think it will be a lateral move in the performance department with the only downside being no NA V8 but gaining utility and a more modern vehicle.

Why? Our situation has changed a bit, i have a company vehicle now and the Mrs. was slated to get a new car so i will be driving the M340 less. We had intended to get (2) new vehicles, 1 for me and 1 for her. Now we only have to get 1. We wanted something that would make us both happy. This is a great compromise if you ask me. I've driven the M340 and was pleased with its power and comfort. It will never be the raw beast the M3 was and that's okay. After 3 years I got a bit fatigued over the rattles and road noise. Though it all went away when i took a turn or gave it throttle because the M3 was such a great car.

I had both an F30 335 and E92 M3, but sold the M3 after 9 years of ownership.
The 335 is holding me over with an MPPK and MPE. It's kind of fun hearing turbo sounds and whooshes as oppose to the V8. I debate selling the 335 for a G80 or keeping it as a daily, but after treating the E92 like My Italian grandparents plastic-covered couch all these years, I'd really like to enjoy the G daily.

New GT4 for $100k with a manual!?!? That would be an awesome alternative to an $80k M3.... problem is the GT4 is gonna be probably another $20k on top of that? Painful. Also if need another kid-hauler to justify it to my wife

did get told by a salesman this past weekend that I could get $10k off M5 competition .... that was really tempting to me (not my wife). M5 is beautiful, so fast, so nice, so subtle looking, but I just think the lack of flickability would make me tire quickly :-/ after lusting after M5Comps, 992S, GT4... I think the G80 M3 still may be the best choice for me... hurry up and start building the **** things!

The new GT4 looks good to me although a lot of people are dumping on it. The Spyder looks amazing as well. So many amazing cars available right now. |

I will say that the audio from the Nuvaring (as my wife calls it) has left me feeling a little disappointed but it's still way better sounding than a GTS. Maybe an exhaust mod and ripping out some do the emissions stuff will make it sound better. Sure hope I can snag one at MSRP... although saving $30k and getting another monster track car (ZL1 1LE) seems like a good plan to me too...AND it has back seats so I can pick up the kids at school... as long as there are no speed bumps
