How much PSI are you guys running?

Just wondering how much PSI you guys are running if you're tuned and if everything has been going well.

+2 PSI so 14-16 psi tops with 93 gas. I have a 330e with the B48B20A (different piston heads, lower default boost and higher compression ratio) so I don't dare to go higher but I've told by a tuner this engine only enters the danger zone at 18psi so 16psi should be pretty safe. Maybe I'll try +3 or +3.5 in the future.

I'm running the JB+ @ +4psi (turned up about 90%). Put it on the car at 2K miles and I'm at 14K now. No issues at all.

I recommend turning it down to 2 PSI since your tuner does not datalog.

+4 PSI on your car is high as your car stock PSI is already aggressive.

I'd only go more than two if you use the JB4, and you can see how well your car handles the extra power.

Thanks for the advice; I will turn it down some. Based on this item description below and posts on the forum of people saying "it's only 30hp or so, turned all the way up is fine", I didn't realize I should only have it turned halfway up.

the problem with running +4 PSI on the JB+ is that you cant tell how the car is handling the extra boost. that's why i recommend the JB4, where you can datalog

Is there any way to tell if the car isn't handling the boost well without the data log (butt dyno etc?). The JB4 is nice but I like how easy the JB+ is to take on or off for dealership visits etc. I'm not very mechanically inclined and might have a hard time putting on JB4; especially running it through the firewall.

unfortunately, thats not an option.

If the timing drop/misfire is so bad that you can feel it, it's probably too late to make changes to your map

Shouldn't JB4 and JB+ utilize factory DME safety features to prevent the engine from grenading itself?

Correct, but this is used as a worst-case scenario if something was to go wrong.

If you are running a map too aggressively for your car and just counting on the safety to kick in every time, you are asking for trouble.
