Cant comment on the costs. I had my car on a 3 year lease so it was still covered by BMW warranty, i did cover 47k miles but never required any warranty work in the past 3 years. If you've only done 17k miles in 3 years id say its very unlikely you need to make a warranty claim in your last 12 months with the car

I'd agree with you - car has been faultless but as I may purchase the car at the end I think I'll get the warranty so that I can keep the warranty going.

I'm in the same boat now with another year and a bit left on the m340 lease but warranty runs out end of March.
BMW have quoted £422 with a £250 excess for a year with breakdown or £46 a month monthly rolling. £522 a year with £100 excess or £54 a month, £707 a year 0 excess or £71 a month.

I'm a bit torn as I know its a year away but am already thinking of buying the car potentially so having the no break in lease would be good. However part of me thinks if I just put £46 a month in an account just in case how likely is it really that a 3 year old car will have something major?
I'll get a quote from warranty wise as well. I will admit when I took out the deal it was such a good price I went for 4 years but forgot about the lack or warranty in the last year. It is fully maintained though through lease company.

I was badgered with a few emails from Sytner to take up the warranty so eventually I responded to the advert saying I'd have it and heard nothing since. Still, that's Sytner for you.
