Yep. It shows the date, mileage and dealer ID same way as any other service activity.

Interestingly, despite my paperwork specifying a franchised dealer for servicing I asked if I could use a non-franchised for somethig as simple as a brake-fluid (consumable) change and they said:

Good morning Ian,

Thank you for the below request.

As your contract is non-maintained you are welcome to take the vehicle where you choose, as long as the garage is VAT registered and uses Manufacturer approved parts for any replacements.

If you require any further assistance please let me know and I will be happy to help.

Have a great day.

Kind regards,

which suggests I can use a local garage for all servicing as long as they use OEM parts.

Isn't this the case for both the BMW manufacturer's warranty from new and the Extended Warranty after three years?

It is but I'm not talking about warranty - I'm talking about obligations under a lease.

My guess here is the lease company want it done via Franchised dealer so as when they get the car back they can sell it on for more money as it has "full dealer service history" versus a car thats been serviced elsewhere. The person who has replied is maybe thinking about the block exception that does allow for servicing wherever you want.

I changed mine for the first time in Jan. Full cost £130 with Sytner. It’s like a new car now, I wish I didn’t wait for 3 years in this climate.

Could you elaborate on how its better please?
Ive just picked up a G20 and the pedal is quite soft and doesnt inspire confidence at all, but its my first BMW without M-Brakes.
