DME/ECU Unlock in Perth?

Does anyone know someone who can unlock a DME/ECU in Perth?

I have a Feb 2020 M340i with the latest s/w - dealer applied it last month without asking me.

Wanting someone I can see in person and I hand the ECU to them and I wait while they do it. I do not want to "mail in" my ECU.

No idea on who would be able to unlock ECU. Youtubers send it away to get unlocked.

BTW: Why are you stressing about latest s/w being applied? Did the update overide/mess up some codings and/or tune that you had applied previously?

Is unlocking the ECU to prevent future software updates from being applied by the dealer or to allow you to apply an older update?

Any of the major BMW Workshops in Perth should be able to Unlock your DME, since it is a pre-June 2020 car (mine is June/July 2020, so I have to send it to FEMTO in Finland). Give G-Spec or GMW a call..... if you've already had it done, who did you go through and how much?

Seems Racing Dynamics will bench unlock my car. I haven't done it yet, but they quoted $265 and can do it in about an hour.

They push Evolve Technik tunes - not sure how they compare to cheaper OTS tunes like MHD or BM3. If anyone knows I'd be interested to hear.

I got Racing Dynamics to do it plus got the Evolve Techniks tune - no charge for the unlock with the tune.

I am happy with everything. The car is very smooth and a decent power increase now, even though that wasn't my goal.
