G series 4 or 6 pot calipers - my understanding is that the regular non-m car brembos are axially / lug mounted and m cars 6 pot brembos are radial mount - is that correct ??

The F90 M5 and F92 M8 use the radial mounted 6 pots with a 395mm ///M disc. The incoming X5m will use the same caliper, but will have a radial mount bracket from the factory. The same as the F85 X5m which used the same caliper as the F10 M5, but with a bracket from factory to allow fitment. I have tried mounting a F90 M5 disc with Gxx 395mm caliper body on G20 hub, and the F90 disc has a hat height discrepancy, which prevents fitment. |

Does anyone have the part numbers for the retrofit of the blue caliper brakes?
My M-sport was new old stock, so I didn't get to spec it. It came with the M suspension but none of the other stuff from the track pack. I see the M Power brake setup is around 2400 euro at best... Thanks. |

I know for mperformance brakes you have to take care of DSC coding, does anyone know what happens if we retrofit an msport blue brakes onto a G20 without msport brakes? Any coding required to avoid any mushy brake feeling? 02NH Blue Sport Brake Set ● 2x blue front brake calipers (34116891273 + 34116891274), or 34116891283 + 34116891284 ● 2x brake discs front size 348 X 36mm (34116860911+ 34116860912) ● 2x blue rear brake calipers and housing (34216894081 + 34216894082 + 34216894087 + 34216894088) or 34208836845 + 34208836846 + 34206894087 + 34206894088 ● 2x EMF actuator (34216894091) ● 2x brake discs rear size 345 X 24mm (34216860925) ● Brake pads front (34116888457 or 34116889570) Rear (34206888835) |

@alienz sorry I missed your post, thanks for that.
Looks like the M-Performance setup is a much better option than retro-fitting the M-Sport from the dealer. It's a good $5100 of parts from GetBMWParts!! Now to figure out if the M-Performance brakes will fit behind my winter setup's 18" BBS XR ET +28 wheels. |

Perhaps so, but I think I'd prefer everything all in one package and not have to deal with piecing together used parts from totaled or scrapped vehicles.
Besides, I'm starting from the base brakes on a 330i... |

Personal preference though, if you have the disposable money to throw at at and pay the premium then fair enough! |

Do you know the part number for the dust shields? I think that's the only thing missing. Thanks! |

so curious about people with more knowledge on this subject than me .
if I understand correct the Mperf brakes not worth it if coming from Sport brakes but for someone like me with the base (non Sport brakes) is this worth it in your opinions? especially with limited options for upgrading the brakes |

Yes, if you have the M Sport 348mm and source the front 374mm only from a donor car, say an upper 5 or 7 series, these might not be blue coloured though as they are the same as the M Performance for the G20 in size. No, if you have the track pack as they are 374mm already and you'll be forking out a shed load of £$ just to change the colour only and again no if you are coming from a stock 348mm M Sport set up and buy the M Performance brakes as a set as although you'll move up in size and power in the front, you could save yourself a ton of cash by doing the above and as already been mentioned M Sport or M Performance the rears caliper stays the same size. To answer your question regarding yourself. No it's not worth the money, going for M Performance for the power your engine has and assuming your on 18" wheels it can't be done as you need a min of 19" for the M Performance, so if you want an upgrade then the 348mm M Sport's will do the job. |

Yes, your right my bad 18"s are fine. I did notice a while back that they had disappeared from the UK site as well. I wonder if it has got anything to do with the fact that they now offer you the choice of colour on your M Sports....still, not the same as actually moving up MM but can't think of any other reason other than a shortage
