Installed the front black grille, air duct trim and the CF spoiler!

After seeing some members with the black grille and trim, I had to get it! While I was at it, decided to remove our wimpy spoiler and get the CF spoiler.

Still waiting for the CF side mirror covers and the side skirts to be delivered.

my coworkers and I who haven't seen each other in 6 weeks decided to do a social distancing cruise around some windy roads for 40 miles.

an rs3, rs7, my m340i, 981 Cayman, mustang GT, and an Alfa qv. was nice to drive somewhere again.

That's a nice RS3!

I was very close to getting an RS3 after my S5 was totalled (and before I had test driven the M340i). The 5 cyl sounded amazing and it was very sharp and light with the handling. Looks killer too. My only complaints when I compared it to the similarly priced M340i, was the interior. The tiny infotainment screen is horrid even compared to the S4/S5 and the lack of any power or memory seats at that price point is crazy.

I took my car with literally no miles (because we have not gone anywhere since getting it) and my respirator, gloves, hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes and went to Costco.

No milk, no half and half, no toilet paper, no chicken.... and I am thinking to myself that this is getting really old really fast.

When I start trying to wrap my head around how many families in this country are out of work, unable to pay the mortgage or buy food I find it very unsettling.

When I got back out to my car I removed my mask and gloves and admired the tanzanite paint and all it's shades. I began wiping each box and bag with the alcohol wipes before putting them in the trunk. I used the hand sanitizer, liberally, on my hands and then did it a second time.

Briefly, for the 20 minute ride home I left the worlds problems in the Costco parking lot and marveled at just how well the B58 engine and 8 speed ZF tranny work together. I've said it before and I'll say it again. This car is smooth, fast, no, very fast and comfortable. It gets to 100 WAY too easily, lol.

Grocery shopping has become stressful. At least the ride home was enjoyable.

Stay safe, stay healthy.

Hope you are keeping safe in that dangerous line of work. How are the PPE levels in your hospital?
Have to ask security to unlock the cupboard to get a gown here...

PPE levels are just ok, hospital is conservatively handing them out. They have plenty but are fearing a big surge of people. Some staff are more fearful than others. Lots of false information out there. I try and read most of the hard science to form my opinion. I stay away from the some of the media fear mongering. Here in the USA the overall numbers are getting better. We have the whole tent triage thing going. Kind of strange, our overall volume is down somewhat, the patients we have are sicker. I would say in California we have done a good job of mitigation. But I am luck, I am working. I feel lots of people want to go back to work. Sorry I could go on but I am on way out the door.

Stay safe!

I just swapped my 792m summer wheels as well, and got the final OEM black pieces installed. We are identical twins now!

Took a while to get the dealership to get the black mirror caps (the exhaust finishers, fog light pieces, and black grille all came really quickly). Stay safe as well!

$1,200 for the same damn package that's a $500 add on if ordered from the factory...the one mistake I made when ordering (ok maybe there were a few things I would have done differently lol). I installed everything except the mirror caps ($87 for the dealer to install...WELL worth it).

It's a package in Canada (extended black shadow line). It looks like it's only $250 now! An even better deal. It replaces all the cerium pieces (black grille, black fog light trim, black mirror caps, and black exhaust tips).

So I basically paid $1k more for not choosing the option and buying each piece individually...oh well.
