Yep the next 4 series and M4 are large boats. They are not agile like a M2. I do think the next M3 can be a good daily driver as opposed to an SUV.

Disagree, as for looks my vote among these goes to the E34 M5. Such a clean design.

As for the current cars, I think the current X5 is the best looking SUV BMW ever made. The F90 LCI is nice enough but still a bit too soft looking as a whole and my least favorite M5 design to date after the non LCI. I like the blue G22 but the dark gray body black wheel combo does the car no favors for me.

I would also like to hear from the OP what his in person reaction was to the G22.

M5 looks awesome defo my next car in a couple of years.

4 series.... Wonder if any aftermarket companies will try and do something with the grill area - produce a grill with a more conventionally sized kidney grill and the bottom half solid and colour coded - might look ok then?

God damnit bmw. Take the 5 grill and put it in the 4 and you have a winner. The rest of the car looks great in m sport trim. Please please don't ruin the new 2 coupe as well or my money will go elsewhere in a few years.

Haven’t seen this strong a reaction to a controversial design in quite awhile! Good luck on sales of the new 4 BMW. Let’s hope this grows on us for bmw’s sake.

That frontal view though - I can’t stop seeing large puckered lips!!!
