The G80 is looking good, should look the goods when the camo is off and we can see the body lines. Looks like Bmw got the angles right - even though every time I look at the grills I see a 'snout'!

Oh well, time to get over it and move on..

Yeah I know, that was one of the reasons why I preferred the M3 for the last generation. But this time I would add that the M4 taillights look kinda "soft" as well. But I have to see them in person.

I know lots still dont like the front but its starting to grow on me a little. At first yes I was put off a touch but that front shot doesn't look that bad. But again ill have to see the final set up before completely making up my mind. Shoot who are we kidding we will all prob end up getting one and be all over it when it comes out

Love the cars, although the choice of a sliding caliper rear annoys me after the nice brakes the M2c has stock

But hey, it's good enough for the AMG GT models so I guess it's good enough for a simple M3

probably the main reason I'm going with M3 over M4 despite I don't need the back seats
My M4 has back seats, just not a pair of doors to go with them

Maybe so, if any, I'd opt for an all blacked out G80 (the more aggressive, less polarizing option) to hide the grille and other design flaws. Again, it needs to be seen in the metal still, but I'm sure they will at least perform amazingly.

Dingolfing better start stocking up on Sapphire Black paint now (as well as all other things schwarz) because there will probably be a quite a few of these on the roads come next year (from New BMW clients in China. Dealer lots will look like government fleet orders (all black)!

I wouldn't listen too much to the negativity. S58 and the M xDrive are major buying arguments. Considering even our heavy X3M runs 10.80 with a simple Stage 1 E30 tune, G80's performance will be completely off the charts. I hope they also make a G86 Gran Coupe - would be my personal favorite.

It actually looks pretty good in this pic, and I like that headlights doesn't extend all the way to the grille. I also spot proper M mirrors. Must be one of the final pre-production mules.

It's too bad BMW discontinued Euro delivery program.

And HOPE there are NO photos of the new 4-series or new M cars.

A new low!

The M3 rear looks much better than the M4, wider more aggressive, the M4 looks kind of soft. I even prefer the M3 tail lights too, even though I would always prefer the coupe over the 4 door. I really don't see how the front grill goes with the whole design of the car, it's not even about the size but the whole shape it is just weird it kind of looks "classic" or old completely backwards to the whole modern design of the car.
Has anyone seen the new grill in person does it look better than in pictures, that is the only hope...

Front end reaction will be the same reaction/result as when face masks first came out.

Eventually, front end won't be such a big deal.

IMHO

0-60 is now irrelevant in 2020. It seems like everything does 4 secs or faster.

....but I have to look at my car everyday. The front will be a bug, bird, crap magnet.

No amount of performance can fix this. :

Side profile on G80 looks great. Currently, the grilles are the only thing not wrapped so they stand out, get some other black parts showing, roof, mirror-caps, vents, etc... and it will look much better. If you hate it, then get a dark color, pretty simple.

Now, we need BMW to bring back Euro Delivery!! Make it Mcar exclusive, no track-time allowed, we can rent, it is a compromise....🙏

I think bmw should style this car like some older, slower, uglier and heavier version that the forum mob is nostalgic about . Oh and make sure there is a wagon model available. I’ll make sure to spec mine with cloth seats and 18” wheels.

And look at those meaty rear tires - they look like 295 or possibly even wider.
