Anything to make money.
I'm all for big brakes, but 18" brakes doesn't make sense... current gen M3/M4 standard rotors are just shy of 15", Carbon Ceramic rotors are about 15.75". 18" rotors would need 21-22" wheels depending on the caliper design...

M Performance parts = change de color and material, add a "Performance" sticker and you can make 500% profits on it...a pure marketing product.

@6ixSpd I don't believe that's everyone's intent as most tend to go for the exterior upgrades but M owners of course know that the additional $20k+ ish price premium has its sweet bits underneath that good that isn't really seen but more so is felt. I've been through an F80 and settled with relaxing my pocket with an F30 so that I can indulge in the G80 when the platform is out and I'm still not sold on the exterior bits of the G20 entirely but I know the drive factor of the G80 will most likely win me over when the time comes.

It's kinda strange BMW doesn't have MPE yet for the G01 and G02. I have no clue if they'll even offer it at this point considering how long those cars have been out. The G20 already has MPE available for 30i. Maybe G01 and G02 M40i versions MPE will come out along with G20 M40i MPE, but who knows.

We are simply modding these cars like you did with your 328, we aren't trying to make them into a M car any more than you are. |

The more I look at the two side by side numbers wise it's almost like the 340 is like a M that's suppose to be driven everyday seeing as it has all the tech and can come pretty close to the M3 in the daily challenges like the 0-60 and the 1/4 ie the Honda that pulls up next to you and the interstate activities

@BMWm340ixC1X If you're purely looking at a straight line comparison then I can see your point but there is of course much more to an M car than it's straight line speed. Also there are many that daily drive their F8x though I could say the E9x platform was a bit more harsh to deal with as a DD, why do people get mistaken that an M3 must be a garage queen like a GT3 RS when it's more than capable of being a DD unless weather becomes a factor?
