I can do another log. What's the best way to do it?
In manual mode 4th gear. Floor it at 2000rpm and let run till the red line ( or above ~6800rpm).
To get the best results (comparsion) the same run with the Stock tune would be nice.
If possible then on a road without slope.

I did one with Stage 2 - 91/95 (XHP Stage 1 with torque limits removed)

I assumed that you were driving on a flat road with full weight so the car should be in the range of 1850kg, every incline/decline has an influence on the values...
But it seems consistent with your load requirement which regulates the torque/power.

OK interesting. Yes it was dead flat, straight road.

So those torque/ power figures are crank estimates, I assume.

So I have mpe, AA dowmpipe and jb4 tune stage 2. Looking to get xhp tune. Have a 23’ m340.

What’s the consensus with the tune? Is it worth it? Reliable? I feel like I’m getting mixed reviews reading everyone’s comments on this.

That entirely depends on what you want to achieve. Also it depends on how the DME/ECU handles the JB4. I haven't used piggy backs so haven't studied them in detail like I have proper DME tunes.

Understanding exactly what is going on with the communication between DME and TCU with a JB4 in place would give you a better answer. You'd better understand if the torque limits etc are an issue.

I mean I don't know - does the DME tell the TCU that its sending (for example) 500nm of torque, but because the DME is being "tricked" by the JB4 and the engine is producing 3psi more boost than the DME thinks its getting, thus it actually produces say 600nm. Does that mean the gearbox is being sent 600nm instead of the 500nm it thinks its getting? If so, then you will cause issues down the line (prematurely) for your gearbox. Whereas if the TCU knows its getting 600nm, it can then adjust accordingly. But I don't know exactly how that works with a piggy back.

Then its a matter of what experience you want. The gearbox, being automatic, dramatically affects the driving experience. Unlike a manual where you determine the experience, here the gearbox does. If you can't find a driving mode that suits you and gives you the experience you want, then XHP will allow you to tailor that. For me this was a big part of it.

Although, the bigger part was ensuring the gearbox is responding properly to the increased torque and I maximize the longevity of the gearbox for the tune I have.

Note also that it has been stated that anything over a stage 1 XHP will start to shorten the life of the gearbox, in exchange for better performance (faster shifts etc in sport modes).

I am running Stage 1 XHP and have further tailored the shift points to suit my taste.

Hope this helps a bit and gives a bit more clarity.

If tuned you def need it as the tuner will have to keep reported tq very low and can lead to slip.
