When they "retire" a cruiser, they still go for quite a bit of $$$$. I remember helping my buddy tear apart an old Crown Vic "cop motor"

Back in 2012 when I brought my elderly parents out to CA to live so I could help them I searched for a used car to use to ferry them around in. All I had at the time was a Boxster and a 996 Turbo.

I found a 2006 Crown Vic police cruiser -- reportedly the police chief's car -- for sale with 50K miles. The car was in excellent condition.

Curious I asked some LEOs about this and was told the car being the chief's car didn't carry sick/drunk perps in the back seat, didn't go crashing over curbs, was not used for a Pit maneuver, etc.

Regardless the price was a bit high based on my research and I ended up not buying the car. I managed with the Turbo since I only a time or two had both parents in the car. Dad managed to get into the back seat

But that Crown Vic I think would have been a cool and good car to own.

It’s like that on most departments. My assigned patrol SUV, for example, is very, very well kept. I specialize in traffic (…e.g. DUI’s, crashes, cites, takeovers, etc.), so I don’t have people in & out of the back seat all the time like the other vehicles. I’m not typically dealing with druggies, transients, etc. I won’t PIT using my SUV either.

Congrats to the officer for not falling for it and upholding the law. I'm sure she got away with a lot with that smile.

Well, Miss Congeniality is at it again being arrested today According to Athens-Clarke County online records, Stewart, 20, was arrested on Sunday, March 23, for obstruction of a law enforcement officer and loitering/prowling.

Is she hoping to be discovered? Getting some free advertisement for her up-coming OnlyFan page? Stay away guys. Too many red flags.

I've noticed from that live TV show that most of the jurisdictions they ride with do not have cages in every car. When someone needs to be transported, the officers either have to look around the crowd for a cage car, call for one to respond, or call for the transport van if they have one.....
