Anyone here take delivery of a 2021 MY M340i yet? Very curious about the 48V mild hybrid and EPA fuel economy ratings. (But that's not the reason any of us opt for the 6-cylinder).

I've got my MY21 M340 sitting Ready for Transport for two weeks now... I dont know the ship schedules but I'm sure two tropical storms coming thru the Gulf right now isnt helping.

I hadn't thought about the storms in the Gulf affecting shipping, but that would definitely make sense that it would add a delay.

I am picking up my 2021 tomorrow. I didn't keep track of specific dates of the journey. I do remember my car sat at the port in Germany for about 2 weeks. The travel on boat was just around 3 weeks (stops in England and Spain) and landed in Galveston. It did sit in Galveston for about 9 days before getting on a truck to north Texas.

I'm still waiting as well it's been 1 week I have seen lately people having builds at the Mexico plant have been sitting in "waiting for transport" for 3 weeks. Personally I don't need the car since I'm working from home and according to some CAs incentives are going to get better in the 4th qrt which starts October 1st so I don't mind taking delivery in early October

So since my car entered the production queue (Mexico) on 8/20, anyone have any idea what sort of timeline I'm looking at in terms of when I should expect to take delivery? I'm hoping beginning of October at the latest, but not sure what to expect in light of COVID and tropical storms potentially impacting this.

Early October would be a correct assumption under normal circumstances but I would expect late October early November the latest. Lately Mexico builds in the transporting stages tend to sit for 2-4 weeks

Think the Mexico plant is purging all of the 2020 MY vehicles out of the plant before they start sending the 2021s to the port? Anyone here knowledgeable about how BMW fulfills dealer allocations and rolls out the 2021 MY vehicles for inventory?

I see some dealers' websites show 2021 in "new vehicle inventory," but none of them have pictures, and some even say that the vehicle will arrive in 4-5 weeks.
