I finally ended up getting tanzanite blue.
Also, I don’t know if it only for Europe or not but there is a individual colour visualiser with plenty of individual colour and interior including prices. Check the following link https://visualizer.bmw-individual.co...pdf=1&lang=DE# |

Sure is. That’s also what I’ve got and it looks silvery in some light... the metallic really shows...

Dravit grey has to be one of the nicest colors I've ever seen in person. Pictures absolutely do not do it justice.

I had an F31 in alpine white which looked good with exterior black bits and pieces.
I'm in a 440i GC now in carbon black which is a great colour but not available on the G31. Darker than Tanzanite. I thinking about an M340i xDrive tourer for next year and wil probably go black sapphire metallic, given the limited standard colour choice. Pig to maintain but once professionally detailed, easy to wash and fantastic to behold when clean

dravit grey... that colour is just awesome!
mineral white is also sexy. ...that car looks good with any colour but everybody who is not sure, should have a look at dravit in person. no picture can show the effect of that colour. you really have to see it in person. Last edited by john!smith; 01-18-2020 at 01:45 AM.. |

My last two M3's have been alpine white with black interiors. It is a very sharp combo when clean.
Color on my 340 was tough. I liked tanzanite, but I had a dark blue 540 with a black interior years ago and the blue and black combo never thrilled me. With the 340, the dark blue the black carpet throws off the look if you were to go Cognac or other colored leather Dravit is a nice color, but I see that as a 'fad' color that is going to look dated in a short order. Also I just have a hard time throwing 2K at a color. BMW charges for so many little options that have been coming standard on lesser cars for years (they are calling remote start a game changer lol). To pay thousands to have them paint my 65 thousand dollar car dark blue instead of medium blue just rubs me the wrong way. I think this body looks better in the darker colors. I saw a mineral gray 340 outside at the dealer with black wheels and the cognac interior and it looked fantastic to me. Really good. Not trying too hard, not screaming look at me. The color fits that body like a finely tailored suit. Confident, upscale and rich. As with most colors.... half way through the ownership cycle be it three, four, or five years, I find myself looking at other similar cars on the road in different colors and wishing I had gone that route. The dark colors lose their luster when they need a wash. Lighter colors are a lot more forgiving in that department. Sorry for the long winded response on what could have beed a one word answer. ... Mineral gray. Well I guess that is two words. Happy New Year everybody. Drive safely. |

Agreed, Mineral White. Looks nice in the sun, not that we get much in the UK

I was going to go Mineral Grey with the M340i, but then I saw the portimao blue, and I had to get it. Portimao blue looks so much nicer than the estoril blue. It has so much personality, and to find it with the 792 wheels, I was sold right when I saw it.
