Can someone help please and explain if it is normal for my car to not have had a software upgrade since 2019?

No, but quite a few pre-LCI cars are experiencing issues with RSU. You should have your SW updated manually in order to start receiving regular updates.

Do you know how I manually update or does it need to be done at BMW?

Just spoken to BMW and they’ve sent a manually update to my car and told me if it hasn’t changed in 24 hours to take it to the dealership, thanks your your help mate appreciate it!

I had this, but i was stuck in 2021.07, i tried checking for fault code and found 030E0F which meant my battery was no go for RSU, so i changed the 12V battery and now it works.

Was this the one in the boot? Seems that ours 330e have 2 12v batteries.
I read everywhere that when we charge the hybrid batteries, the 12v also get charged, but then there are cases of not enough charged batteries for the upgrade.
Mine is also not updating. I am guessing that it is related with the battery too.

I have same issue mines is 2019 on software version 07/2023.58

I have charged the 12v battery using a charger and still no different.

Dealers at Oldbury Sytner charging £150 to update which i think is ridiculous for something which should be free as part of factory equipment and RSU feature.

I have tried several things like hard reset, removign and adding app etc. No change

Any other UK 330e 2019 owners experience the same?

Any suggestions from others which worked?

21 330e here and my RSU was also stuck. Only way i got the deler to update it for free was to tell them i had problems with carplay on longer road trips.
Was recently updated to 07/2024.40
I know its a pain to deal with some delerships when it comes to this stuff. Good luck

I had the the same problem with the RSU on my 2020 330e i solved it by changing the 12v battery under the trunk. There should also be a fault code reading battery control, aged battery.
