This is instructions for the regular anti dazzle. If you haven the lasers, I don't know if they make a difference for this.

This is VERY unusual. He is a stand-up guy. I've delt with him for years. He must have a reason. I know that doesn't help you at the moment.

the way it was explained to me is, that when you just right click and code, it codes back the defaults based on the current VO which doesnt have the 5ap anymore. The only dowside is, that any fdl changes you made in those modules will have to be redone afterwords

I've started researching what had to change on the F series, but I'm having minimal luck finding equivalent values for our g20. One source I've found for f80 values is https://github.com/packetpilot/bmw-f...ats/Kip_M3.xml

So can we code it to the blue laser headlights yet?

I am brand new to coding, and haven't gotten to look much deeper into that yet. I am currently trying to decipher euro high beam mode since Almaretto is not currently responsive.

Okay, I have found a LOT of values in the 2 FLM2 modules that are related to "Glare free high beams" and "matrix" headlights. I just don't know which value I need to set here, so this will likely take some experimentation.

Now I just need to find the HU_MGU values, KAFAS4, and BDC_BODY3 values to update

Big props to everyone here doing the testing! I'd love to code in the anti-dazzle functionality. I would also love to activate the little blue accent light inside of the headlights!

When he's slowed down at work, I'm 99% sure he has the solution. My lights have been error free for almost 2 months, after his latest changes.

Most crisp AGHB I've had in any car ... and I've had several. Even much better then in my F90.

Really not sure if it's even possible to code the US spec laser headlight to the Euro blue ones. Even tho people say it can be done... To me the headlight house have different parts (ie. the Euro blue housing has more blue than the US ones). Also still haven't seen any pictures... :/

I would really love to see up close pics of euro laser lights both off and on to see. I am afraid the hardware might be different too

I think if you look closely when they are turned off, the Euro's housing is more blue. I recall reading it somewhere on the forum that the parts are different.

They are physically different, the color scheme cannot be coded in.

In North America, vehicles are forbidden from having blue color headlights, only yellow, amber or white are allowed.

Below is US vs RoW laser lights, I'll let you figure out which is which.

Considering neither of those is a g20, I am not sure how helpful those images are. They both have blue lights on anyways...

As for the G20, the images I find for RoW look like the image below. The US headlights have blue pieces there too. I was just curious how different those pieces are since the part numbers are different.

I am well aware of the legalities and why we don't have it, but I hold a small hope that maybe the blue light is like anti-dazzle and can be activated.

I just supplied the examples of two US vs Row vehicles which I was able to locate online to support my claim. A G20 compare and contrast wasn't available.

Anyone with a US-spec G20 with Laser Lights can confirm that it's white and those with a RoW can confirm that its a much more noticeable shade of blue. I assume that would self-explanatory.

BMW's laser headlights work is by aiming a trio of blue-laser diodes, situated at the rear of the light assembly, into a set of mirrors, which reverse the direction of the light and send it through a lens filled with yellow phosphorus, this is why the US-spec lights still have a slight blue hue within the diodes.

However, the yellow phosphorus responsible for the color shift is physically skewed towards producing a white light output, in order to meet US regulations.

The yellow phosphorous lens It's not controlled by software, thus, it's not just a matter of simple coding to alternate the colors, there is a physical difference.

Aside from the main high-beam, the running lights itself is also physically white in US-spec vehicles and is not capable of color-shifting to blue.

The part numbers are different between both regions not only because of the difference in hue but also because all US-spec vehicles must have a DOT stamp indicating that they meet the all legal requirements and also a physical light level adjuster, the RoW doesn't need to have this requirement.

I hope you don't assume I'm trying to burst your bubble or anything because I also hope it was just a matter of coding to make them blue as the RoW but I'm merely pointing out that it's not physically possible in the BMW setup.

So far, no luck for me.
I edited my FA to ECE and removed 5ap. I then used coding verification to generate the trace NCD files for the FLM CAFD. However, TM's tool is out of date and won't load them for comparison. I attempted to use TM's tool to decrypt the files and compare the XML in an IDE to my factory NCDs (decrypted), but the files had no differences.

Anyone know how I can view the diff on these files, or if I missed a step in generating the NCDs from my modified FA? I followed the steps in the link below for generating the files.

Can you disclose what he charges for the service? I'm interested when he resumes doing it, as I had mine delivered last week. Thanks.
